Hmm, i'm wondering if it will be possible to control the car nicely like the old GT's with the DS3 ?

Or must it require a wheel no matter what to achieve control of the car?

Advise is appreciated as I myself have been using the DS3 to play all racing games without a problem . ( excluding GT5P , havent tried it yet )

getting a wheel is a must if ur really into this game  , DS3 triggers are quite good in controlling the throttle and brakes. 

Hard Drive install is a big issue for gamers who have less space on the PlayStation 3. With Gran Turismo 5 coming very soon, expect a hard drive install when it comes out.
According to Kazunori Yamauchi, the game has an optional hard drive install but to run the game, a 256MB space is required. The amount of space needed for the install is at least 10GB and gamers can expect a smooth experience. If this is indeed true, 10GB is indeed one of the biggest game that has an install on the PlayStation 3.

granted i got real lucky with that one,but still...

Normally i would use the right analog sticks for acceleration & braking. I can'
t get used to the trigger buttons. Are they precise?

i've never really gotten accustomed to that setup.
my thumb is very stiff.
so i've always found it hard to control the accelerator and brake-even more so when the PS2 came with pressure sensitive buttons.
everytime i press the break,i end up letting go of the accelerator by abit
