burnt the midnite oil last nite .. only 1 hour sleep to rush my ULTIMATE EP
maidened this morning !!! slow show off flye la the ULTIMATE .. there were 3 ULTIMATEs there this morning .. 2 maidened .. mine had the most powerful motor and therefore the fastest ... not a good thing for a show off flyer la Added on February 17, 2010, 6:25 pm QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Feb 17 2010, 11:29 AM) hi..i just started this hobby too and damn it's addictive. i started out with a colco 4ch apache and now flying an esky dauphin/comanche too. i'd say these coax are pretty good for beginners or someone who just wants to fly stuff but don't want to get too serious. pro's and con's between these 2 models? wait until u get your taste of single rotor helis .. hehehehecolco's apache: + more stable than esky LAMA due to its weight + body is more durable + looks way cooler - you'll be proud to fly these things + compatible with some of esky's parts - parts are hard to come by therefore hard to upgrade too - no simulator included - hard to dismantle esky's lamav4/dauphin/comanche: + interchangeable chasis/fuselage - you can swap the chasis/fuselage + parts are easy to get + easy to upgrade and dismantle + full package with simulator and stuff - chasis/fuselage are made of soft plastic, easily dmg - kinda light, so it can't withstand too much wind good to know i'm not the only beginner here coaxials do not even come close This post has been edited by QiW: Feb 17 2010, 06:25 PM |

I just got myself an inexpensive Syma S032 for RM155. lol... Kinda enjoyable to play around.
Does the charger has polarity? I can fit the square connector in either way. This post has been edited by mengsuan: Feb 21 2010, 04:11 PM |

I tried both way. Lol.. Nothing burnt.
From my observation, when it is plugged correctly, the DC adaptor's LED will turn off and later turn on when full. If plugged incorrectly, the LED will just stay on. I took it out to grass land for a spin. The wind was too strong, it blew my heli away and it chunked into the land. The rotors are not broken but chipped |

those coaxials are not meant to be flown in the wind .. even super mini wind will blow it off course

I'm just starting to observe the helicopter. Why is there only one connector (marked with red arrow) to the balance bar? The other side has the same ball shape but the connector is just not there. Is this correct by design or the other connector got chunked into the ground? Lol.. The helicopter claims that it has gyroscopic stabilizer. I still find the helicopter pitching backward sometimes. I screwed up the gyro in the crashes? Haha.. I guess I have to go service it within a week already. This post has been edited by mengsuan: Feb 21 2010, 11:44 PM |

pitching in any direction needs trimming on the radio .. quite normal especially for RTF kits
