SeV2 is an older version which the clone is CopterX Sev2- tail on belt.
Pro is a newer version with new head, tail + torque tube, and don't forget the new tail blade grip, clone is flasher Pro Sport which is an upgrade of SEv2 which use Pro head and tail grip but runs on belt. |

Slapshock, my understanding from you is that you don't need your heli to do super 3D, right? Just for some hovering and FF and it will do, am I correct?

I have not reached that level yet but I can feel the sucking power now.
Every moment now and then I just want to go home and hover my BCPV2. |

if u think u will crash alot then v2 or sport (belt tail drive)
if u work really hard in the SIM ... and prefer maintenance free in the long term .. then the PRO (torque tube tail drive) both are capable of hard 3D stuff ... but when u reach that level there will always be new models coming out .. so just go for the ones that has the most parts support in your area in getting any of the above ... u would have skipped the BCP acquiring and upgrade parts ... the only savings u actually make with the BCP is the radio coz its a RTF with radio ... the any of the above outflies the upgraded/modified BCP any day or nite in stock form ... huahahahahaa |

It's up to mr.slapshock to make his own decision
Hehehe, I just think that what he wants actually can be achieved with BCP, but maybe need more effort to do so compare to Trex. To be frank, I am thinking of getting a Trex as well .... kakakakka |

if u want a TREX then u have to look for radio already
radio is very important .. it can be used with whatever u fly in the future .. so its a long term investmnent .. no need to save much on radio .. get the best U CAN AFFORD |

I have a 2801Pro, the only thing I need to get is the Rx. So far I have heard good comment for this Tx/Rx used on Trex450.
Not so sure about bigger Trex though. It should be the same regardless of the size of the heli. This post has been edited by daddoo: May 10 2010, 06:21 PM |

I got one of those China made alloy helicopter with lots of LED lights. It's pretty huge & heavy comes with double storey rotor & a horizontal tail rotor.
There's 2 way of tuning 1 manual says tune the potential meter the other press the L R button on the remote when the heli spins clockwise/anticlockwise on it's own. However my problem is it moves backwards when i just have it lift off. Anyway to tune it or that's common for ready built helis? It doesn't stay put when flying and i have problem having it land on a stool. |

Hehehe, if you are still loving this hobby, be prepare to spend $$$.
I have over-spent quite a lot and initially I was not expected that much ...... Nowadays my wife keep looking at me everytime she see me browsing hobby shop websites ..... How much is Futaba Rx? Errrrrr, Walkera 2801 Rx is below 200 bucks but I just compare the PRICE ONLY .... however the 2801 Tx is not cheap as well ..... LHS selling this for around 800 bucks ..... If I remember correctly there is a feature in 2801Pro Tx to allow you to test the working range but I forgot how it can be done.
Maybe I will let you all know once I have my 2801 Rx ...... |
