tat i am not sure as both my HDMI and composite are connected to my LCD at the same time. Most of the time i am using HDMI input to view Astro but the sound is "flat" whereas on composite its more lively. i intend to purchase a 5.1 system to connect via the DIGITAL RCA output of the Byond

After add the channels to fav, u need to press "OK" to bring up the information box, press the FAV button before the this box gone to scroll your fav channels that u already save.

For this astro byond,during bad weather can watch or not?
because astro cannot watch during bad weather so if they hvnt overcome this matter,this astro byond also useless..i rather prefer them to overcome the problem(cannot watch during bad weather) than come out with all the fancy ideas since the problems hvnt been solved for yrs..

This problem you need to blame them for choosing Ku Band, which is totally not suitable for tropical climate. Anyway, the problem is supposed to be minimized using 65cm dish.

Yeah can watch it for those HD channels. But the SD still got problem but it's better than last time.

When your Astro B.yond box needs to tune to a high frequency signal on Measat 3a to receive HD it sends a 20Khz "tone" to the LNB, this switches a circuit in the LNB called the "Local Oscillator". At this point the LNB is only capable of receiving high frequency signals so any low frequency signals such as all the SD channels on Measat 3 are no longer there or "on the wire". The same is also true when switching between Horizontal and Vertical polarities, currently Astro only uses Vertical if ever they use Horizontal I am sure that a whole load of us will find new dish alignment problems.

Even if you only have SD Astro and not a B.yond Box then you should still not use splitters, each splitter halves the signal. Thus increasing rain fade significantly.

Try my test of trying of watching HD on B.yond and SD on your old box see what happens! As a professional in this industry for 20 years it shocks me that installers still do not understand DiSEqC and use splitters.

Splitters should only be used for one thing, throwing at the installer who tried to fit it!   mad.gif
I did a scanned on M3 & M3a before and found both H & V signals. Not sure about now? If you are working on the tall office up in down town KL perhaps you have the latest info on this matter.

What would be the best solution for MDU customers (condo) if splitter is not recommended for sat tv?

Hi, I just install the astro B.yond. But I got an problem now. I would like the non HD channel to remain in 4:3 aspect ratio and the HD is 720p. I saw the guy set the normal channel to stretch and HD to 1080p. However, now I wasn't able to find this option on my remote. Anyone can tell me how to do it?
