DoW2 uses non-SSA for GFWL.

It doesnt matter what account you use, as it's not bound by that. As long as it logins, then, it's fine. It uses limited activation in the game.

Steam is ok for DoW2,as it's not that intrusive, but GFWL is just a pain in the ass.

As long as you are not those people who format their com very frequently or upgrade your com very often, DoW2's DRM should be ok.

Then, maintain your com properly,as once your key becomes invalid due to too many reinstalls, it's junk.

Unless you dont mind playing Single Player only.

Afaik, theres no limit activation on dow2, its just gfwl buggy part of it.

So, if u gotten error msg like "your activation has expired etc."

Just email to their support department, so that they will reactivate yer game again.

Thats what i gathered according to the relic official forum.

Cheers @smile.gif

That means you have to contact GFWL/ XBox Live support and convince them that you are not a pirate.

It's not a bug in GFWL, but it is an intended feature of GFWL.

guys, i bought and finished downloading DOW2 from Steam. With all the info i read on the net regarding GFWL country restrictions and online ID. How do i begin. I dont want to make any mistake and burn my CD-KEY.

PS: I have offline GFWL profile that i used to play pirated games with. Please advise in accordance. Thanks
*
I created a US XBox LIVE profile 2 years back, and it works for all regions.

Seems like the condition has changed,as some people are able to create SG based accounts.

I thought DoW2 uses non-SSA,where any account you use doesnt matter.

Still the same pain in the ass.

Would be great if Relic actually fully integrate Relic Online with Steam, than this.

Theres no such thing as Relic online...thier previous client was related to Gamespy which they don't want to use for some internal reasons...

All these questions we basicly talked about before.
As for region restrictions regarding certain places. What are you talking about ? What kind of restrictions ?
I do know that if you own a offline account (to play pirated games) it shouldn't be link in any way with your proper account.

Regardless if you use it for other games. What happens if you do is that the GFWL client will ask you for the CD-key related to the game thats all.....I've not encountered a problem where they would ban you for playing a game thats not registered.
*
CoH is using Relic Online where they wrote those whole thing in Relic.

The region restriction is about GFWL refuse you to login to your account, because you set the region wrongly. It's quite a mixed experience as some had this problem, ie: me, while some others dont have this problem.

I tried a pirated version of FUEL ages ago and i login with my DoW2 id but login as offline, for some reason, FUEL is on my game list now. It definitely have some link with my account, but nothing happened.

The CD Key that you have entered for say, DiRT 2, are tied to that particular account, just like a Steam id.

There are some links to the incidents in DoW1, but it doesnt really matter.

Not much to be honest nor they actually give a huge impact to the game.

It's a bug in Steam that happens quite uncommonly.

I had to redownload TF2 again for no reason a few months ago.

yes, Inquisition could be damn awesome  tongue.gif

I see 3 possibilities if it's Inquisition:

- Grey Knights or Deathwatch.
Both are actually under Inquisition command (Anti-Demons and Anti-Xenos).
They are cool and all but too close to the normal SM in my opinion, wouldnt be special enough.

- Imperial Guard lead by Inquisitor

Could be damn cool
Totally fluff accurate

Con is that IG scales poorly to DoW2 scale in my opinion, they are all about numbers and big tanks, both are hard to fit in the new game.
Managing to have all your guards under cover or handling tanks would be so-so

- Go the whole Inquisition way and just propose an Inquisitor and his retinue
In the fluff Inquisitors usually surround themselves with special individuals that are useful to them.
Could be anything from warriors, tech-priests, psykers, savants etc.

So it could totally fit in the DoW2 scale of few units

This would be, imo, the coolest option as you could have a huge variety of design and units.
You can have warriors from tribal worlds or hive cities, tech-priests like individuals etc.
In term of variety this is pretty much the broadest you can get in the WH40K universe.
Wait and See I guess, but this might end up a Day1 purchase for me, if only for ORKS WITH PIRATE HAT!
*
Inquisition have lots of space for creativity.

I would love to see if Relic actually takes a page or 2 from those Inquisition mods in DoW1, as they have really fantastic ideas.

An inquisition army with Death Watch, Sisters of Battles, Grey Knights and some nice IG tanks would be awesome.

Day 1 purchase for me too.

Apparently, there will be campaign for other races too.

Approximately as long as CR's one, each.

Well, considering that Cultist a.k.a the evil version of IG Guardsman works pretty well in CR, i dont think why Guardsman wont work in Retribution.

I think Relic wont go more than 8 per squad in DoW2, as that would be too many.

Dawn of War 3 might be another Free to Play bullshit, supported with microtransaction.

I rather see it as a separate game than another stupid MMO.

Please give me CoH2 as a standalone game.

Im definitely buying Retribution on day 1 as it will be the last dawn of war game i might buy.

ZZZzzzz

Man this would sucks, I fail to see what's the point for this kind of games really.

Give me a standalone game and I am happy to fork money for it... this kind of microtransaction, no way.

Or i would think a Trackmania approach would be great ,like they have a retail full version(United Forever), than, a free stripped down version(Nations Forever).

Wont it be win win, for those who prefer to pay one time and those who wants to grind.

I think the global conquest feature would be awesome, if only they bundle that with a retail game with campaign etc.
