Added on August 9, 2012, 10:26 amI'm very happy that i manage to solve the problem of the brake calliper rattling noise (n16) that has been haunting my car so long. I asked my mechanic to apply silicon (gasket grade) to make the hole smaller, to close up the gap between the calliper and pin, then the noise is gone. Read this method from internet. Anyway, the mechanic says the calliper might be trapped and unable to retract... anyway, 1st day try out no issue, hopefully the mechanic is smart enough to reserve enough freeplay room.

Currently changing suspension to nismo-s-tune. Hopefully it will not be too lowered until scratching the hump.

My n16 is clocking > 250k km, though not very fuel efficient car to run with, holding it for sentimental value. Future tweak might be the un-chip (to be more fuel efficient). Hopefully it can serve me till 500k km...

What is ur car FC for /100km?

My nissan sunny recently have some problem

First ,although in idle mode ,the RPM also maintain @ 2k ,if i switch on aircond ,it will drop to 1.2k ,after while ,raise back to 2k (keep going up and down)
at the same time ,the car temperature also increase
may i know what is the problem and how much to repair ?

1) Despite sending my car to Nissan HQ 3 times, they couldnt solve the high fuel consumption problem. they are asking me if i want to do major overhaul ( 6-8k service costs!!!!) and that will fix the problem they say

can anyone help intro me some other place to diagnose or fix the problem ? i really cannot tahan paying so much for fuel man.....full tank cant even reach 300km......

The matter that u stated previously about high FC, have you resolved?
Cuz I know some of the matter that cause FC higher is not the matter of engine..
Its the matter of sensors. FIrstly the most important is O2 sensor. this really make a car FC rise dramatically.
U can try to send to someone near u that is the Diagnostic machine for nissan OBDII to check all the sensor.

P/S let me know if u found out anything. :-)

my friend advised me to get a mechanic to "wash" the o2 sensor bcos it worked for his sentra but one mechanic told me to change it instead - now he told me that MYVI o2 sensor costs around rm7xx so i dunno how much a sentra o2 sensor is gonna cost 

hi all.. just bought my 1st car, nissan sentra 1.8 gxe 2002..currently im spending RM1100 on the car
RM500 - service; EO, power steering oil at nissan center
RM300 - tinted
RM300 - Battery from nissan center

but so far im very satisfied with the car, awesome car. from penang to kl RM50 fuel.

my current plan is tune my car for better FC. Anyone have a suggestion where can I go to tune my car? and any other suggestions to improve the FC. I realized that my exhaust was not the original one.

Owned a n16 auto 2004 n already using for 2yrs + now

just clean my throttle body n change air filter n tune it but rpm was quit high, at bout 1200,
foreman told me it was natural coz my throttle body has juz been cleaned n would be normal
again..hope so..tried going far as near 200km engine did not die but once starting was a prob, only
one time..no jerking o anything

b4 when idle my rpm was quit low by 500 so tot of tuning it..sometime engine stop when idling mode
but starting no prob. that is why i was recommended to tune n clean throttle body suggested by
specialist.

err.. the solution is correct. the result seems good.

you think your car like lorry? start that time must jerk a lot?
