if i'm not wrong. many sentra owners also have kinda similar problem.
i just quote back solution from other owner.

QUOTE(xphr3ak @ Apr 8 2011, 03:48 PM)
This happened to me before.
The idling timing is not stable, right?
This also can affect the FC too.

I’m not expert but I’ve experienced this.
You need to check :
1. Check ignition coil
2. Serv. throttle body
3. Serv. acc valve
4. Setting engine timing
5. Check fuel pump from tank
6. Check temp sensor
7. Check/change cap distributor
8. Check distributor fire
9. Change spark-plug cable
10. Change plug
11. Change fuel filter to Nissan genuine part.
12. Change air filter to Nissan genuine part.
13. Check airflow
14. Change airflow sensor
15. Check wiring airflow
16. Setting airflow
17. Check solenoid (If I’m not mistaken, GA16 engine don’t have this)
18.    Grounding
19.    Install VS

For now, ini sahaja yang saya ingat.

Thanks.

Another situation if 1st and 2nd gear will jerk a lot or cause engine to die.
Probably need to change gearbox oil.

Anyway my B13 auto yr 95 has a faulty ignition distributor, not sure where can i get one and also the cost. Now i hv 3 options i think,

1. buy new, will be expensive but also dont know how much and where to get

2. recon? how much and donno where to get either

3. chop shop? worth it since it will be kinda old and prone for similar fault near future?

any suggestions is welcome.

1. buy new, will be expensive but also dont know how much and where to get
- If I am not mistaken RM800 (TCEAS)

2. recon? how much and donno where to get either
- Around <RM350 with 3-6month warranty (Sparepart shop/ workshop)

3. chop shop? worth it since it will be kinda old and prone for similar fault near future?
- Around <RM150. Mostly you will get 1 week personal warranty.

So, my suggestion is no. 3 smile.gif

Thank you.

1st, are you sure is ignition problem? does it have jerking problem due to low rpm? hard to start?

I never replace that before but it wont be too expensive if you go to the right shop that wont con.
Usually they'll get you recon, ori part are hard to get.

yes facing problem, not really jerking, actually cant start at all at times in the morning though can hear cranking sound turning key ignition. Did everything tat were required, full servicing, including cleaning all relevant filters, and left only the few things

- wiring
- distributor
- circuit board
- fuel pump

the above 4 were coming from 4 different foreman, everyone of them wanted me to change the part but i wasnt convinced hence approached different workshop for 2nd opinion, but instead of 2nd opinion, i got 4 different ones. dam frustrated and didnt wanna risk replacing something tat wasnt at fault!!

last straw, faced prob last friday couldnt start, called the foreman to come onsite to my house and he confirmed is the distributor problem after checking part by part. hence now looking for a replacement but he asked me to find the part myself.

anyway, anyone know where to get recon unit? i called 2 spare part shops also dont have sad.gif(

tq for the help!!

here's what the tyre specs mean & how to calculate the tyre sizing ...

185/65R14 means 185mm tire width, tire height = 65% of tyre width, R14 means 14" diameter rims
so total diameter of your wheels with tyre = 14" + 2(0.65x185mm) = 14" + 9.47" = 23.47"

195/60R15 ... total diameter = 15" +2(0.60x195mm) = 15" + 9.21" = 24.21"

the sexier & lower profile 15" config is actually 0.74" bigger in diameter... that's just the maths ... sorry i dunno how that explains your loss of power ... but I am sure there is a logical gearing relationship that an engineer can explain tongue.gif

Added on November 15, 2012, 12:45 amI'm looking to buy either a B13 or a B14. I only test drive one 1996 B14 m/t the other day - just a short drive round a housing estate, speed bumps and pot holes. The feel of the car was quite solid but the clutch pedal felt funny. The travel was very short - maybe just 2 inches before I hit the bottom. Is this normal? How does your clutch feel?

Another question - for a 1996 B14, it was priced below RM11,000 while most others were about RM13k. Seller told me the engine had been changed in 2004 and the clutch cable was new. Front bumper was crackedWhat could possibly be wrong with it?

Any tips what I should look out for?

thx

Mine N16 1.5A
RM70 Ron 95 = 36.84L
60% - City
40% - Highway
around 410KM+

Means 11.13KM/L or RM0.17/KM
