so when something hard it squeak.. oh now i know

these are precautions to take care of when u are going to drive up n down genting. drive slowly so that you can gain experience. if ur car is auto which i assume it is since u mentioned D 3 2 L, drive as slow as possible when coming down because the road humps will make ur car fly sky high and those corners can be really scary if ur brake fades.

use engine braking by shifting to 3 / 2 / L as much as possible instead of relying on your brakes. i've tried using them simultaneously and it really helps to keep the brakes biting all the ways down to the PLUS highway.

at any time, u can stopby gohtong raya for a short break to let your brakes cool down before moving on.

ps. waja is heavier than wira from my experience so it will be more stressful on those brakes.

Further more the belting is already abt 6 years since i brought the car. Even my timing belt already change..

I would like to change my waja HU to the latest waja CPS HU. Anyone here know where to get it and the cost as well?

Guys, how much does it cost at Proton SC to check what's wrong with my ECU? My radiator fan now keep pusing only doesn't stop whether engine cool or hot. I believe something wrong with my ECU since the ECU ignition light turn on all the time. Is it possible the wiring got problem?

Go to any shop that have tools to check your electronic system.. 1 time check around RM30 above.

check with any accessories shop. should set u back around rm200 which i sold for last time la... its a brand new 1 week old unit... mine sold off 2 years back.. hehe...

Added on April 5, 2010, 7:44 pmi think u can ask them to check on the PDT system to know wats the problem. but ask them for a quick quote on the checking alone. maybe rm50+/- with some labour charges to find faults. after that, they might start to quote you the parts to replace. u can still opt out at this stage and bring ur car to outside repairs if u think the price is too expensive.

maybe ur thermostat faulty so ur fan keep spinning? i not sure too.

Sam, most of the workshop i went they all ask me to go to Proton SC wor.. The problem is im not someone who trust Proton SC laa.. Hmm did u know any shops having this kind of tools?

the mechanic that i usually go to in taman danau desa, off old klang road there has a pdt to check your car, no expensive as proton sc. meaning now your car doesn't not have thermostat? there is a purpose for the thermostat to be there as the engine cant always be using colder water temperature especially in the morning when weather is cold.

i only changed + skimmed my brakes and flushed brake fluid. took him almost 3 hours. haha. he'll take your car for a test drive before the service, and after servicing another test drive

all this he charge rm30 for labour only

dats explain why your fan pusing wether hot or cold.. u should put back the thermostat.. thermostat does this by switching heating or cooling devices on or off, or regulating the flow of a heat transfer fluid as needed, to maintain the correct temperature

Anyone know how much is the gated shift gear, latest waja center 5 switch and also the steering wheels? One more silly question, can add more air cond blower or not ga? Coz passenger side always cannot get the aircond, wife complaint~~Ask me to change car liao~~

i dont think it is just a thermostart problem! ur's is Campro or mitsu engine? if mitsu then i can help u diagnose with software..

thermostat will keep the temp warm for cold season... if u removed the thermostat, the fan should not be running too frequent! or u ECU address $6569 error/corrupted.. this can be repaired by reflashing the rom back into it!
