Yup, I updated my N1 just now.

Baseband : 32.24.00.22U_4.03.00.21_2
Firmware : 2.1-update1
Kernel : 2.6.29-01117-g4bc62c2
Build : ERE27

Speedtest : About the same as before. Will try at several places.
Multitouch!!!! but, don't care, not that excited smile.gif normal 1finger zoom still available. I think Google is 'angry' and release the multitouch to N1, after Steve Job labeld Google as 'evil' smile.gif Now, Google is getting evil... don't play play/

Google Sky Map... Please do try it... I love it. Just hold your N1 to the sky and you can see the map is moving based on location and our movements. This app use all the N1's capabilities, such as compass, accelerometer, GPS, .... Very Cool.

Added on February 3, 2010, 11:12 amTalking about cool, now the N1 with the updates runs cooler than before....

I suggest you to try with different browsers such as Firefox or Chrome. Or try it from other location/place or computers. Also do test or checksum the zip file.

You need to practice sometime to understand the characteristics of the phone. As we had mentioned earlier, you need to press a little bit top of the icon, almost the border of the screen frame. Or, just practice mini bottom to up swipe motion.

After several hours with ERE27 build, I really like my N1 smile.gif. It seem to be runs much cooler, smoother than before. The booting up also much faster then before, I think,,..

No issue yet I found with this new build, except the available RAM/memoru problem.

What's are other's opinions about the update ?

Thanlk you.

QUOTE(Zelmel @ Feb 3 2010, 08:08 PM)
Hallo Guys,
Few question to ask:
3. If i have my APN working and i was in WIFI area, when i browse N1 will ultilise my mobile netwok or WIFI?? How to interchanging them?
If you see Wifi icon beside the signal strength icon, then, you are in Wifi mode.

QUOTE
4. How to input chinese character?
Look for Google Pinyin IME in Market

QUOTE
5. Any method to type sms then send to multiple people?
It is a bit difficult using default way. Still possible, but a bit hard, so you may need other SMS apps from Market. Tips: Make sure the phone numbers in contacts are in Mobile type.

I hope other can help answering the other questions.

Thank you.

The 'root' thing already being discussed in previous posts. So, make your self a little bit 'rajin' to explore this thread and other Android threads. Use the 'search' function wisely. smile.gif

Added on February 4, 2010, 12:27 pmActually, I am also very tempted to 'root' my N1, especially if I want to change the KERNEL, with my own latest compiled kernel. But, I hold it for a while because, without root, I still find the N1 is very usable, and still manu things to be explored.

Yeah, it is up to you all to choose your own path/destiny smile.gif. But, now I love my N1 as it is.

Get AnyCut from Market, and create the Testing to the home screen.

Celcom3G vs Digi 3G :
If you travel to many places in Malaysia, the Celcom3G is only answer smile.gif.

With N1, I got up to 2Mbps DL speed, location near Mid Valley. I don;t know how fast the Digi 3G can provide.

1) Android apps in Market are not as much as in Apps Store
2) Android is not a gaming platform smile.gif
3) Yes there are 'Paid' games and apps for Android. Browse them with http://androlib.com to see what are available.
4) There are several addictive puzzles games such as Jewel, Blox, Frozen Bubbles, Scrambled net, andsudoku, Othello,.. which are good time 'waster' when you are bored smile.gif. Other than that, I tried a SNES emulator and 3D free/demo games such as Speed Forge, Raging Thunder. Others ... mmm see this video clip smile.gif
