Received my nexus one yesterday, play around for 1 day, and tonight, rooted and flash to CM5.0.4 Got 1 nervous moment when i reboot after complete flashing the ROM, stuck at animated X screen. Manage to get it correctly after i did WIPE and reflash the ROM.

Yes...I did download the sdk android software...I chose the usb driver option only in download manager itself..

yea, did the same, now just unlocked and root me nexus, now choosing a rom, which rom is the best for u guys?

You can try CM 5.0.5 or if you want sense u can try modaco alpha17, make nandroid backupe first before you flash rom.

Yeah.... IF you want something stable and near 100% bug-free, choose CM 5.0.5 . Just upgraded !!!!

rooted! was confused with the steps but i did it afterall! btw i do encounter the problem of getting stuck at the animated x loading screen but just like what slashie said, do a wipe and reflash and things are silky smooth! =D Nexus is faster now =D

Cool guys..more and more ppl are joining and rooting I am still using 5.04..no time flash again..lazy wanna do it all over again. ANyone know any good backup apps?

If you read the xda forum cyanogens thread carefully, you no need to redo the whole processes.

Simply add the rom zip file to your sd card and install from there through recovery.

Do not need to wipe since this is an upgrade. All your apps would be still intact.

Pros:

• The most smoother experience I ever get in Nexus One.
• Ability to show full screen and hide visual zoom button in browser is awesome.
• Black background in Message is cool, but I more prefer Handcent.
• Apps2SD is fully functioning, bravo! as you can seen in above screenshot my SD card secondary size is reducing.
• Battery percentage showing is awesome.
• Track ball wake up is awesome.
• Not much major issue found.

Cons:

• "Seeds of Life" live wallpaper still randomly FC.
• Aldiko still having issue on not saving the last page you read and can't display book title in recent view main page.

Flashed to 5.05 as well. Totally agree with andew..love the track ball wake and seems faster and faster...

I'm hoping cyanogen will release his version of Desire ROM..That would be great..
