Been using FireStorm LEO 23517 since 6.00 AM today.
Everything seems to be in working order.

Talking about speed, I see no difference with 28014 LEO II. No differences at all.

Though I'm a bit confused.
If now it's already 28014 for WM 6.5.3, why it's going back to 23571 numbering? rclxub.gif

Can, but they will check your manufacturing date, not the date you purchased it.

Because 28xxx series is the newer ones, with more experimental things in it. When it is stable, then it will be transferred to 23xxx, which have less buggy experiments.

Microsoft is currently developing the new WM in different 'waves', experimenting various ideas. When everything is done, you'll see that they package it to WM7, with extra eye candy of course.

So WM7 is still using the Windows CE 5 platform?
Damn, I thought they are going all out new like Windows Vista for PC.

So my next upgrade should be an android based platform. hmm.gif

Unfortunately yes, still using the CE 5 platform.

I'm not too optimistic over WM 7 either, my next phone will be an android, considering i'm not getting a new phone anytime soon, Androird should be very established by then.

I never said Windows Mobile 7 looks like Windows Vista.
I said "I thought it's an all new platform just like Windows Vista for PC".

Windows Vista is a different platform from Windows XP.
It's totally different, that's why when you switch from Windows XP to Windows Vista, you have to find new drivers for the hardwares as well.

I was hoping WM7 to be like Windows Vista which is an all new platform. I didn't say I was hoping WM7 to look like Windows Vista.

Android is a mobile operating system running on the Linux kernel. It was initially developed by Android Inc., a firm later purchased by Google, and lately by the Open Handset Alliance. It allows developers to write managed code in the Java language, controlling the device via Google-developed Java libraries.

The unveiling of the Android distribution on 5 November 2007 was announced with the founding of the Open Handset Alliance, a consortium of 47 hardware, software, and telecom companies devoted to advancing open standards for mobile devices. Google released most of the Android code under the Apache License, a free software and open source license.

Or else Windows Mobile will be kicked out of the club by the ever growing Android. laugh.gif

Read on pocketnow.com that nexus one is not as fast if compared to HD2 even both of them shares the snapdragon 1Ghz processor.
