Just flashed to 5.7.24001, haven't really pay attention to the speed increase but I love the slightly bigger fonts.

Hmm.... Battery performance kinda weird. At 7am I had about 35% battery, 7 hours later when I came back the phone was off, battery too low.

Just now I charged, left the phone at 99%, 1hr 30 min later, 98%, somemore activated 1 time GAlarm and 1 missed call during that time.

No problem liao... I found out is that the ROM buat kacau... just like the "My Location" thing. The "Gorgon" location will only show in lower parts of my house. Once I go to my garage and do update, it'll turn back to Kuala Lumpur. Lolx... earlier build versions don't have this problem... i'm using Valkrie V5.7 latest build. Love everything it does. Speed, stability and slightly larger font. No more SOD problems... (touch wood )

How old is your battery in the first place?

I'm on Manila with full weather animation and it decreases quite fast but nothing near yours...

I went to sleep with 24% at 3am last night and woke up with 17% 11am in the morning but then my phone is like 2 weeks old

Run cleanRAM to close everything and start only startup programs and see if its still that fast? Your case might be either old battery or something is running in your process.

One thing to note thou, if i SMS a lot my battery would drop faster than i'm on call for 1 hour

^Confirm lah... If you keep pressing the keys or the screen, confirm more energy is used than juz calling one...

i oni did one time installation, after that, each time i flash new rom I still get it to work w/o installation again.

Just found the easiest way to install PAPAGO! X5.
Hang on, typing the instruction right now.

It's just a 2 step instruction. Very easy. This 2 step instruction also easily registers the program in the Windows Mobile registry.

PAPAGO! X5 is the fastest navigation software compared to Garmin Mobile XT & Mapking 2007. But since it's still new, don't put high expectation on it.
To get the best performance out of your PAPAGO! X5, turn off 3D Building. 3D Buildings is not needed anyway.

Erm WM Messaging in 24001 Valkyrie is slow? the loading of messages is significantly slower compared to build 28008 (my previous ROM version.)
