Hey everyone, just get a new iPad yesterday 16gb at rm2350, this is my first apple product. However I have a problem, when I register Myself under setting store with Malaysia country, I have problem to verify the 3 digit security code, and the problem to enter tune or app store, it says my Malaysia is not supported by tune and app store? Please help.
EDITED: As pointed my MaxPC, Apple has incorporated how to create a free iTunes account without credit card into the KB. I stand corrected. Thanks MaxPC.
Here is the CORRECT link you can follow to create a free US iTunes account to register your iPad:-
Once you've correctly followed the procedures as described in that link, connect your iPad and voilĂ ! Enjoy US iTunes stores, with TONS of free stuff! Get the iBooks app first, there's literraly hundreds of free books to get from there. In fact the free iBook app gives a free beautifully formatted book with it for free!

thx for the link bro. one more thing.. at the billing and address part..should i put my house address or US address as stated at that website?? and i saw at one website if we put US address some state will charge tax on itunes purchases.is this true?? below is the website :
Google any address in the State of Ohio for tax-free purchases on iTunes. Here, I've googled one for you:-
865 East Kemper Road Springdale, OH 45246, United States (513) 671-4305
That's the address of the Best Buy in Tri-County.
This is only necessary if you're planning a purchase on iTunes/AppStore. This is because states like California and New York have their own sales tax between 8 to 9%.
Enjoy!

ok thx for the information.. ok then thx bro.. finally manage to create one US account... too bad i dont have any iPad yet... btw...for iPhone App+Games can i use it for iPod Touch too?
If the app is stated "for iPad" then it's probably meant for the iPad only. Some apps have the "+" sign on its purchase page, these apps are meant to be installable for both iPhone and iPad.
MaxPC, your poison working, just ordered two Martin Fields screen protectors for my baby. Nice counter-poisoning, I poisoned you on the MiFi, you poisoned me on the Martin Fields. Must..find..more..things...to...poison!
Looking at my need for both a horizontal AND vertical stand/dock, I've narrowed it down to two candidates:- Griffin's A-Frame and the ElementCase Joule.
First, the Griffin A-Frame.
This is a very good option already, if only it is available for purchase at the time of this post. For the time being it is still available as a pre-order from Griffin for USD45.
Secondly, the ultra-gorgeous Element Case Joule.
Priced at a premium of USD129, this is the epitome of luxury and fits the design and curves of the iPad perfectly.
QUOTE
Introducing the new "Joule" work stand for your iPad.
Its stable solid base has a simple, clean, and elegant design that enhances your iPad and makes it easier to use. Unlike most stands, the Joule won't tip over when using the iPad's touch screen. Allowing you to better utilize your iPad on your deskop or kitchen counter top.
CNC machined in the USA from solid aluminum, the Joule comes in a brilliant polished finish or a black anodized coating.
Other features: -Magnetically attached tilt foot at the rear allows for quick and easy view angle adjustments. -Rubber pads at the bottom assure a firm grip on any surface. -A velvet lined recess holds the iPad comfortably and securely. -Designed and made in California. -Limited quantities available.
Designed With Both Landscape and Portrait Modes in mind.
Here's a Youtube video of the Joule in both portrait and landscape mode and in both the aluminium silver polished finish and black anodized.
Between the two, I'm more interested on the Joule for the fact that it is smaller, sexier and fits the design of the iPad perfectly. The Griffin A-Frame is not bad, but it is reported to be heavier and adds bulk to carrying it around as a horizontal stand. The keyword here is horizontal, as I am planning to use these stands as a movie-watching stand while I'm at work. For vertical stands, I have the iPad dock in hand already.
I've just shot an email to ElementCase on whether I should order and ship it to Malaysia or ship it to LA while I'm there instead, since on their website, for the "Joule" orders, it takes 14 days for domestic orders and 21 days for international orders with USD26 shipping charge difference only between them. Now waiting for their reply, otherwise if there don't respond quick enough, I may just proceed and order and ship it to Malaysia just to be safe *in case their order shipment date slips and I miss the delivery date after I left LA*.
Crossing fingers.....
As for the bags to carry all these stuff (iPad, Joule, Charger cables, bluetooth keyboard), I'm leaning very heavily on the Waterfield Personal Muzetto bag with either the iPad Suede Jacket or the iPad Slip Case (the Smart Case is a hit with the Americans there and is taking a hit on their production line too, only shipping in the middle of May!) to protect the iPad.
Here's the Youtube videos for the Personal Muzetto, Suede Jacket and the Slip Case. I would love the Smart Case but the waiting list is too long. The plan is to get it shipped to the hotel in LA while I'm there.
Personal Muzetto
Suede Jacket
Slip Case
That should cover my iPad accessories purchase completely.

This one have to put in the backburner first, since it says "preorder" , shipping mid-May. The Joule is available now.......itchy fingers itchy finger! You damn poison la you!
MaxPC, thanks again for that Martin Fields iPad SC link at overlayplus.com. My two pack SC just shipped from them, should be arriving tomorrow. Excellent!
Posting using the wireless bluetooth keyboard with the iPad on the iPad dock with the Martin Fields screen protector on. Max, you didn't warn me that the SP is extra glossy and fingerprint prone. I guess I'll have to stick to my regimented routine of wiping the screen every time I touch it.

Ah the keyboard dock, awesome nooooooooooooooo! poison again oh wait reading your post it is the dock + wireless keyboard, still same effect, poison to buy bluetooth keyboard lol

extra glossy? hmmm how come mine isn't lol unless i got used to it for me the fingerprints stick when i come out of a cold environment but in my house even with heavy typing i do not notice that many prints but yeah there is a few here and there i carry a microfibre cloth with me all the time haha
After the ordeal of operating and using the iPad for years, I guess both of us can apply for another profession/career: Tukang cuci tingkap LOL!
Yup, my obsession keeping the screen clean can only be matched by the furiousness of my wipings.
I just got d microfibre cloth from ace hardware.... Got to be rajin all the time cleaning d iPad screen.
Which Ace? Midvalley? OT:Oii, pegi cangkul itu gander, sudah masak woii! Wait for me la, only Lvl 9 oni.
Yup, with the MF SP, kena radian loh. You want me to look for matte SP while I'm in LA?
Talking about apps, I downloaded IM+ because they've the universal version that works on both iPhone and iPad, and the iPad version is not pixel-doubled like Beejive. However, there is a serious bug on the current 4.0 version. when typing docked and using portrait mode, and typing using a paired wireless bluetooth keyboard, the text typed will not appear onscreen. You instead have to turn the screen sideways into landscape to see the typed text visible. With the iPad in dock, that is no possible. The dev ppromises to fix this , update 4.1 is already submitted to Apple for review and approval.
Be advised. I think I've sent garbled messages to a few on my IM list when I furiously typed on the BT keyboard and didn't see any text coming out at all. Apologies for those receiving. Looks like back to Beejive pixel-doubled for me.
Added on April 27, 2010, 9:07 pmAnother point I'd like to put across is the phenomenal battery life. I've been Beejiving, "We-Rule"ing, surfing, while listening to songs and typing on the wireless bluetooth keyboard, and the battery drain is just 8%!!? Absolutely sensational! I don't worry constantly like I do on my iPhone. I mean, I brought the charging cables and all, but next outing I don't think that is even necessary. I may be even able to squeeze enough time on the battery life to use the Bluetooth stereo headphones I have collecting dust.

Awesome dude ! Bro can we use the bluetooth headphone simultaneously with the bluetooth keyboard ?
Yup you can. The battery drain will be double though, but I can finally say "Look Ma, no wires!"
QUOTE(psyeo @ Apr 28 2010, 11:36 AM)
hope that u won't get the lifetime limit for the iPads tumpang :/
btw bro, if there is no stock for 64gb then go for 32gb or 16gb wifi+3g or 16gb wifi
Got access to get it without hitting that ridiculous limit. Pray that I don't have to drag the crew along with me to use their credit cards to get the iPads! Let's see. 2 each person, and there are 15 of us, so.....

Wei, that case would have been a alternative for me, I was considering that before going naked. Good design too.
You know wht they say, once you go naked, there's no turning back.
I ordered the ElementCase Joule already, arriving in 21days. They had to machine-tool the Joule from a solid block of aluminum before packaging it and ship it to Malaysia.
