Maxis is already rolling out Micro-Sim cards. That post of mine you quoted is before the 3G iPads arrive, and itsgeneral acceptance of any Simcards as long as it fits in the Micro-sim slot. I may jump onto a data-only plan with Maxis if I can secure a 3G iPad for myself in LA.

Wrong model. Mine is 2352. From the Novatel Wireless website, and their support site, select 2372 units are shipped with faulty batteries. The batches are meant majorly for Rogers service provider in Canada. I've been in touch with Multiplex System at www.mpxsys.com for firmware upgrades, and from their support website and twitter feed, confirms the 2372 faulty stocks heading to Canada.

To risk sounding like a defender of the 2352, I see them issuing this as good customer support, rather than keeping quiet and letting the end-user solve or troubleshoot any of the faults by themselves.

Machines KLCC has stocks of Cygnett Glam, SecondSkin and Agenda, 3 different style of iPad cases. Glam is folio style, SecondSkin are silicone, and Agenda are hardcases.

Posting this from Studio A in Xinyi Shopping District in the vicinity of the Taipei 101. They're Premium Reseller for Apple products, and pretty well stocked too.

The same stock situation as in KL, they are also carrying Cygnett cases for the iPads, even though no iPads are in sight. The 3 different models, Glam, SecondSkin and Agenda.

Was at another Premium Reseller in Kwanghua Street, that place has Macally cases in stock, although the Macally Bookstand is nowhere in sight. Only silicone cases(yuck!) and hard cases with ugly(IMO) swirly patterns at the back. No clear cases, with minimal patterning.

An update on the iPad situation in LA. Good news on the folks in my Tumpang wanting 16GB and 64GB iPads, they have this in abundance. This was reported from the set of crew who have landed in Taipei and going to KL tomorrow. My set of crew is operating in LA tomorrow, and God willing, the stock should remain relatively the same there. 32GB iPads and especially the 3G models are totally sold out. Waiting list of at least 5-7 days, as per the online store as well.

Looking at among the crew I managed to "poison", looks like I may be able to get 4 people (including myself) to the Apple Store and buy 2 each. Now the irony is, I may be able to get enough people to get the Tumpang list fulfilled, but the stock now may be in question. Adoi, pening kepala!

Accessories should remain the same, should be relatively easy to obtain.

Then again, this is Apple. Today stock may be in abundance, the day I'm there, it may be out of stock again!

Sigh. Today's hunting results. Zero iPads. Called all Apple Stores from Manhattan Village to Costa Mesa up north down to my own place near Newport Beach, ZERO IPADS.

Manage to secure a couple of iPad Docks, iPad VGA Connector Kit, and stock myself tons of iTunes Gift cards, USD300 iTunes gift cards of 12 x USD25 cards. The only hope is tomorrow as business day, and hoping Apple restocks them.

Talk about wrong timing, big time!

Leaving tomorrow midnight. Hoping that tomorrow being a business/work day, that new shipment would arrive. Otherwise, just stocking up on accessories whenever I can. Even so, the Apple iPad Case and the Camera Connection kit is out of stock.

CAreful with the Dodocase. Youtube video of their demo of that case shows that the 4 rubber corners that holds the iPad fails to keep the iPAd when upside down. Just in case you do have it in that position, your iPAd may fall off.

Sitting infront of the Apple Store now, I die a little bit everytime I see someone walking out of the Store with a white Apple bag with an iPad box silhouette inside.

The 3G look kinda unsightly with that black strip on top. After trying it in the Store, it nay develop some play and loosen in time.

Was thinking of buying another Muzetto, this time the Portable size, for the iPad, but looks like they're totally sold out on that as well until late June. Anyone interested on a bulk on this, we can sort this out before they come back in stock by that time frame. Lucky I managed to get mine before that happens. Mine's the Personal Muzetto though, not the Portable.

Good solution provided by Ksc_3688 & Harmeet. The order for Waterfield Muzetto can now go through. The initial problem was Waterfield doesn't ship to Malaysia, but they should ship to Singapore. So once the availability improves this late June, we can continue with the bulk if there's enough interest. The order will ship to Harmeet's/Ksc's address in Singapore and picked up from there to JB.
