Yeah, then they will try long balls and let Rooney test our offside trap. I think that's more dangerous... shakehead.gif

My guess Fletcher will be roughing everyone in our midfield like the last time around, putting in dangerous tackles. We should pass quickly, decisively and accurately... no more dilly dally...

For me other than Rooney to care about will be Valencia if he plays. He is a smart guy who find places to cross in the ball from a very wide location. Its going to be a very hard night for both our LB and RB.

Song i believe he can contain both Carrick and Fletcher with the help of Denilson.

While the best place to exploit among all will be Rafael side.Arshavin could be deployed there most probably.

And playing TW against Evra will be pointless.Hope Arsene Wenger won't do that.

The 2 for them will be scored by Almunia... straightaway get ball and throw into the goal in the last 3 minutes when we are already 3-0 up. Whoa... MU terus naik gila man... biggrin.gif

I think teh only way to conquer Man Utd is to pawn their midfield just like what they did last season. Is the battle of midfield. Fletcher and Carrick are pawned. I can say we are already half way to the victory. Denislon and Song must do the job. 1mistake from them and we are doom. Just liek Diaby's own goal

That would be a real drama but I'd rather have we won 3-0 all scored by a beach ball.

Anyway, good to know that Vermaelen's injury is not as bad as expected. And Song will be available for Sunday yay!

i would have another idea with this. playing walcott agaisnt evra will be an option.

my point is..

evra is an attacking defensive wingman.. and playing a super fast winger against him might make him think twice to do more and more overlaps and crossing to our box. since his position would be vulnerable for a fast direct counter attack ( which theo is the right man for this).

next, the speed of theo would have some advantage on defending since he can keep up with evra's run. though hes not good at tackling but at least he can keep up and gives pressure to evra, not to cross perfectly.

only AW should ask theo to do more defensive work if he wants to play, and wait for a counter attack on his side.

bendy is back ( not sendy or beandy) so a fast counter and a high cross to the box is like adding another option in our attack.

Formation against MU

Almunia
Sagna - Gallas - Sol - Gael
Song
Eboue - Ramsey - Fab - Rosicky
Arshavin

Atleast this can help to draw the game

eboue on the right wing might give some defensive cover at least.

I disagree,

Walcott was on song before we faced Man Utd last term in the Champs League Semis

Evra managed to keep walcott silent for over 2 legs.

Considering that is Walcott with his confidence up high.

Current Walcott's confidence is so low, AW shud not even consider a starting place for walcott.

I think we're better off with Rosicky or Eboue on the right flank
