whether we start as favorites or underdogs
it doesnt matter
what matters is that the players must give their best this weekend, give a 100 percent...
then just maybe we will get what we want.
after all, a win is a must this weekend. draw aint good for both sides.
back to what we call, the player mentality and the hunger to win it

who wants it more will win it. i believe we will see this kind of performance this weekend from both sides.
attacking football from both sides.

He'l be a decent player, never a superstar. Still think we need a striker if we are to compete for the title and in CL. Our squad looks pretty thin right now. I'm not putting any hope against on form United team with Rooney is back with his touch.
I'm getting bored with all the saying of " what if rosicky stayed fit.., what if RVP never gets injured.."

To be honest, I dont really see that Arsenal really improved at all this season compared to last season, perhaps jz a little. The only reason Arsenal are in the top 3 is because United is a weakened side when Ronaldo left, and Chelsea dropped points in crucial game. At the end of the day, looking at reality, I'm pretty sure Chelsea has a good chance now to win it. They never look blunt infront of the goal, and when their african players left, they kept their mentality high and hardly drop points.
Where else Arsenal, ridiculously losing in FA cup against Stoke, and the pressure gets better of them with a very very poor display against a injury hit Aston Villa. Yeah, its true that we could have lost the game, but if Arsenal are competing for the title, they should have done better.

The squad is filled with kids who are ambitious, lacking of experience, no maturity, and indecisive. This is where Arsenal looses their composure and conceding goal.

Right now, i dont see us actually winning anything this season. Despite that, i'll be happy to see us finish at 3rd spot. Well, it will be a consolation if we get anything than this.
I know some how you would say if i'm a fan i should trust this team and what they could offer. Yeah, i may be wrong about this at the end of May. But this is my opinion. Cheers guys. tongue.gif

i can't really agree with u there. Villa was very determine and play hard. injury hit? the only missing Carew. Back 4 was solid. midfield was industrious and heskey hassled and trouble our defense. It'd take the 1 point over nothing. 3 would be a bonus but not deserving.

Yes the squad is filled with kids. what do u expect? spend 200 mil like Man City? we already spend 200 mil on the stadium. u can't have it all.

i think it'll be

almunia
sagna gallas vermy(if not, campbell) clichy
cesc song denilson
rosicky bendtner arshavin

realistically speaking of course. id prefer for nasri to be there instead of denilson but we all know wenger trusts his youth too much.

how bout ross-andy-nasri upfront?does bendtner a confirm starter?cuz i think the 3 midfield is good enough.eventhough denilson was bad in last couple of matches,i think it's because he's not suitable enough in song's role.

Best of the best team will be used by Wenger no doubt.

Hopefully Vermy can face ManU although very unlikely. How can we not have a Vidic-like player in the game from both team laugh.gif

100% agree with u.
I knew this would be coming when they lost to Chelsea 3 - 0.
The possible reasons for not winning any trophy this season could be:
1. Injury cirsis (Bored of hearing it)
2. Tight fixture
3. Negative tactic by opponents
4. Un-fair referees
5. Not enough budget to buy good players (I wonder if AW will ever buy if he got the money)
6. Kids are not experience enough to win trophies.

i actually thought Aaron did well in his role last night. what i like the most is he carried the ball well. but his decision making let him down big time as i can recall on top of my head there were 3 occasions where he was indecisive in what he want to do and end up spoiling the good move for us

anyway, i like what i see from him last night and maybe he can keep Denilson out permanently from our starting 11 after this

Denilson oh Denilson. if i'm being nice, i'll say that Denilson is not suitable playing the defensive role in a 3 man midfield formation. but then, you can't tell me that not suitable playing the defensive role in a 3 man midfield formation equal to the below

1. unable to complete a 5 yard pass
2. very poor 1st touch which caused us very good attacking opportunity on more than 1 occasion
3. naivety
4. jog around the whole match (this is actually more obvious during the Stoke match. guess i just haven't got over this)

now i do not watch Serie A that often, so i'd like to post a question to Serie A follower in here. will Paddy made a a large difference to our play last night if he played instead of Denilson?
*
took the words from my mouth. denilson doesn't deserve to be on the first team.
totally ineffective.
same goes for sagna's crosses. before bendtner came back he was crossing like mad for nobody to receive.
now bendtner is in the game and i dont think he has ever had one cross into the box.. wth!

thanks to Aeroberg and noir for giving me a picture of how Paddy performed in the recent years. reason why i'm asking this is the able cover (read : not Denilson in any way) for Alex Song was crucial when we knew before hand that he will miss January due to the ANC. and i thought since Paddy was available, maybe we should have brought him in if he still got it.

as it stands now, we do not get the able cover for Alex Song and the results are

1. drop 4 points
2. out of FA Cup

i do hope we does not regret the 4 points lose during the Alex Song absent come May

now i'm worried about TV injury. this may have a chain of impacts to the team if he missed out for long period and le Boss did not bring anybody either for the CD or DM position. worst outcome of it are

1. Billy Gallas and Sol will be our 1st choice central defenders. this is not too bad, but who do we have for cover? yes, Mikael Silvestre. enough said
2. le Boss may move Alex Song to the CD position for cover. this is bad
3. Denilson will play DM again if number 2 happens wacko.gif

disclaimer : this is a very pessimistic way of looking at things now biggrin.gif

quite a handfull of you guys, can even predict a lost when the game havent even started yet. this is the part i hate the most.
i thought it would only come from the pretender, but now it is coming from a few gooners fan itself
oh my oh my, i only got this to tell you guys

Believing is everything, EVERYTHING. Start believing in your team now, thats the very least you can do
dont give up asthough we are 10-15 points adrift from Chelsea, id still understand if fan's start giving up if we are 10-15 pts adrift...but the gap is still so lil, a win againts them can change things.
we are only 1 point below MU, MU can still win the title, why not us?
such weak faith. tsk tsk

suite you guys
but im still backing the team FTW this weekend.

dont let me see you guys posting if we do beat MU,
ima quote every single of those post and bump it in your face.
