i actually thought Aaron did well in his role last night. what i like the most is he carried the ball well. but his decision making let him down big time as i can recall on top of my head there were 3 occasions where he was indecisive in what he want to do and end up spoiling the good move for us

anyway, i like what i see from him last night and maybe he can keep Denilson out permanently from our starting 11 after this

Denilson oh Denilson. if i'm being nice, i'll say that Denilson is not suitable playing the defensive role in a 3 man midfield formation. but then, you can't tell me that not suitable playing the defensive role in a 3 man midfield formation equal to the below

1. unable to complete a 5 yard pass
2. very poor 1st touch which caused us very good attacking opportunity on more than 1 occasion
3. naivety
4. jog around the whole match (this is actually more obvious during the Stoke match. guess i just haven't got over this)

now i do not watch Serie A that often, so i'd like to post a question to Serie A follower in here. will Paddy made a a large difference to our play last night if he played instead of Denilson?

the next three matches are important but even if we lost all,we still can win the league.remember the winner of last season?they never won against any of the top 4 yet they're still the winner.

all hope is not gone.period.
i do hope wenger bring in another player be it in any position cuz rite now, almost all the position are underperforming/in injured list.

yesterday's match full of frustrations sia///
i also dunno what to say..
denilson and ramsey can't seem to keep the ball for more than 5 seconds.
Rosicky's passes always fall into a villan's boot...

sorry to say this guys.. My prediction was right. Arsenal lost 2 points.(I knew they can't win it anyway)

Next prediction:
Arsenal 0 - MU 3
Reasons:
1. MU's team morale is higher than Arsenal
2. Physically & Mentally MU are far more better after last nights game
3. Arsenal's defence is not strong, Lost Vermalean
4. Nicky is going to play (Sure will miss plenty of shooting chances)
5. Rooney is on fire (Sure will score atleast 1 goal)

Last but not least, all this is noting personal. It's just abt the game!!

hei dude... we aiming for champion or not now??!! we need win like tonight if we are to be crowned as the new champion, u understand bo? doh.gif doh.gif

wat's more worse is Chelsea won 3-0 tonight... we need that extra boost either mentally or table point wise going into the big four matches next 2 weeks...

not like this... certainly not like tonight if we are to win EPL
*
Well....there'll always be nights like this throughout the season. Players are afterall humans. Performance was bad though but it is still a point gained considering that Chelsea lost there earlier this season. The 4 matches is important but it will not decide whether we the title or not. Afterall the rest of matches still see Chelsea and United facing tough games.

QUOTE(Zan81 @ Jan 28 2010, 12:29 PM)
As for Eduardo... Well, he's a nice guy, but he's never been my favourite player and lets face it, 4-3-3 is asking too much of him. When Bendtner came on, there was now an outlet to look for upfront. He won a few headers, effectively trapped the ball, held it up and brought the midfielders into the game.

I hope he grabs this opportunities to prove to a lot of doubters that he belongs in the first team. I'm one of the very few who actually likes this guy.
*
Here here. I'm another believer of Bendtner's power and his desire to be best in the business in 5 years icon_idea.gif

I doubt it. Serie A is played at a much slower pace and even then Vieira struggled to keep up. Perhaps he could be hindered by injury but all the more reason to believe he won't make any significant difference in terms of gameplay but maybe from a leadership point (yet to make any appearance for City, injured since transferred)

watching Paddy played with Juve a couple of season back..he's quite ok to be honest
eventhough not as great when he was at Arsenal. I still remember his beautiful pass to
set up Trezeguet for da winning goal vs Bayern. But everything have gone downward
to him since leaving Juve for Inter in 2006.

And I'm glad AW didn't go for him in the transfer windows. He maybe can give some benefit
in leadership aspect like Aeroberg says..but in terms of improving Arsenal style/depth/gameplay..
i don't think so..

Maybe Sol Campbell partnership with Gallas can be tested as well... We played at home, we shouldn't be the one to be worrying so much. And Diaby is goin to be our savior. nod.gif

I am not convinced that sol campbell can really perform given the current fixtures we have now..

but should gallas or campbell gets injured, we are really f-ed up..

and I am very concerned about our player's fitness as well, one injured another come back. when is this ever going to end.
unlucky as hell;.

I can see that this is a sincere post, although I do not like the prediction.

Regarding on score prediction restriction, there is no rules prohibits it. MU thread has their in-house rules for this.

I wonder if Arsenal fans here are open to score prediction or not. Or... should we have our in-house rules as well hmm.gif

I think I will create a poll for this topic before MU match. Any objection?

With so many midfielders unavailable, I suppose Arsene will have no choice but to field Denilson regardless of his poor form. Maybe he'd rotate with Rambo instead but the latter isn't exactly the most consistent performer either. Song's return couldn't come sooner enough.

As for Paddy, it's very hard to say whether he will do well for us. One thing worth remembering is that he failed the medical checkup at City so he might not even be fit to start a game so we're better off not signing him.

Same as before, I personally don't see the point of making any predictions for matches. It doesn't really help in any discussion nor does it mean anything if anyone gets it right or wrong. But of course, it's a free forum so anyone is entitled to post whatever they want as long as it's well written in a thoughtful manner and doesn't break any forum rules.

Back to the game this morning... a sole point isn't exactly what we were looking for since Chelsea is now in a prime position to go 5 points clear. What's more depressing is the lost of 2 vital players in Vermy and Dudu. The good news is that at least we've got Nik back and chances are he'll be playing in his preferred position up front; while we've also gotten Sol who is similar in style to Vermy. If only Sol is 26 instead of 36.... dry.gif

Now fingers crossed for Vermy's scans tomorrow... Not a fracture please, we ain't got much time sign anymore reinforcements before the window closes.

Anyone got a hightlights link of this game for watching/download? (Or is it illegal?)

After losing two quality players to injury, I think a signing(s) is surely on back the cards. We need to avoid a repeat of the 07/08 season, so hopefully Wenger has a plan...

As for the game on Sunday, Song will be a big loss as it looks like he will be out. Smart play is needed here, breaking up play and taking scoring chances. Bendtner's and Sol/Silvestre's performances will be key in this one.

I agree that score prediction serves no point of discussion because it's just a prediction and not the actual technical thingy with statistic and proof.

So, do you guys think there is a need to impose some ban or restrictions on score prediction?

If you ask me, I will stick to freedom of speech biggrin.gif

Highlight links have been okay all these while, as long as the host is "legal" (no XXX, no warez, no cracks sites). Since it was goalless on yesterday match, I think not many are interested to post whistling.gif if you have any, kindly share smile.gif Refer to the first post to get latest hightlights shared by fellow members (although it's a bit outdated tongue.gif )

Yes, Song's absence is highly felt. But the whole team were just not good enough, especially on the first half.

There are a few more things that are still bugging me:

1. Fabregas' freekicks were poor (both of them - or were there more?)
2. Almunia always come out from his position during corner kick but never touch the ball doh.gif poor anticipation + decision making? To be fair, he made 1 or 2 critical saves too.
3. Denilson - you guys have more to say tongue.gif
4. Sagna's cross sad.gif
5. Physically inferior
