Our young guns are making headlines but somehow the Rosicky really needs to step-up even further..
I didnt see any 'wonderful' in his performance, he was absolutely making no contribution last nite. On the break when Gallas was storming forward, instead making a pass, Rosicky juz lost the ball tamely while trying to dribble further into the penalty box. What was he thinking? doh.gif
yes, he made several tackles but most of the time the ball went out for a throw in...
I doubt he'd be able to keep the starting line-up when walcott or NB is available again..

Vieira failed Manchester City medical

New Manchester City signing Patrick Vieira signed for the Eastlands club despite failing a medical, according to The People.

Vieira became new Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini's first signing for the club, but only signed a six month deal due to concerns about a calf injury which have kept him from so far making his City debut.

Former Arsenal star Vieira will have to prove his fitness by the end of the season before he is offered a new longer term deal at Manchester City . According to The People, Vieira's move from Inter Milan looked like being in danger and City were reportedly looking at fresh short-term alternatives.

Due to the worries over Vieira's fitness, the decision to sign the former World Cup winner was rubber stamped at the very highest levels of Manchester City 's ownership.

The 33 year-old joins Manchester City in confident mood and said last week that he is a better player than when he last played in England.

Vieira said, "I am a better player for the experiences I have had. You get better with experience and age and I have been really lucky to play at big clubs.

"I have learned a lot around big-name players and I have come back to the Premier League a better player than I used to be."

I watched the game yesterday from the second half onwards. In my opinion, the Arsenal players were defending a lot in the second half and the passing amongst the players were terrible. Most of the half, Arsenal was sitting back in their own half and sent long range balls up for failed to reached the target man.

Bolton were playing pretty rough and lots of challenges were flying in. They wasted a handful of chances and I believe if they made good use of it, we would have lost. Wenger will have to seriously look at the performance of the players last night and give them a long pep talk. Players like Rosicky, Fabregas, Almunia and the two centre backs were the best players on the pitch. The rest of the players were pretty much scattered around.

Hopefully the mid week match will be much better with more passion and flair in the game!

to me, rosicky just needs to get his confidence back
want him to start running into empty spaces and make long shots like he usually do back then

zzz... I didn't watch much of the game because I was only managed to watch the second half and the streaming was bad in my Service Apartment WIFI cry.gif
But from the statistic, I think Almunia has done a good job - somebody please comment on this since there were some bad critics on him recently.
2-0 win in Reebok Stadium really means something to especially that Song was not with us and Merida scored smile.gif

He had a solid game. I'm not sure why most of you been criticizing him. Perhaps he may had few bad games in 1-2 matches, overall he's one of the best gk in PL. He may not as good as VDS or Cech, but he's been doing better job than most of the GK in the league. We are cash strapped, Wenger won't be spending on a GK, he'll trained Fabianski and Manone.

Defending was bad on the flank. I've been saying that Traore is too ambitious and lack of experienced. Its good that we have Clichy, i hope he does improve. Since he's with the France national squad, his performance weren't that good compared to when he's not in the squad.

Eduardo is struggling with pace. I know its tough to comeback from that horrific injury, i think giving him a little bit of time would lift his confidence up. Arshavin as usual, despite playing with injury, he's been marvelous for us. Creative and that intelligent in the box is something we always needed.

We need a striker. I think we should sign Klasnic. Been off form in the game, but if we do sign that type of player, we would add more goals to our tally.

Lets hope we'll beat Bolton against , and this time at The Emirates to top the table giving Chelsea and United more pressure.

Eduardo was never quick to begin with even before his injury. In the past 6 games Eduardo has either scored or assisted 6 goals. Biggest contributor in terms of goals apart from Sex...oops Cesc in the last 6 games. If Eduardo can keep up his current form I'm happy even if Wenger chooses not to buy any striker in this transfer window. Plus Bendtner is close to a return.

It's amazing that despite not being in top form, Dudu is still capable of providing major contributions to the team. It can only be a good thing as he picks up his sharpness by getting more consecutive games.

We're in a superb position to climb to the summit, although I don't think it would be that easy to win by a 3 goal margin. I'll be very pleased with 3 points.

I thought 2 goals margin is enough for Arsenal to go top as Arsenal's GS is higher

i love having english players.....ref usually give face to English players...like eastmond yeaterday...and rosicky was awesome...he wont allow us to get bullied...nice...its been a while since i saw a fight in our team...we are low on fighters...rosicky is a fighter...

I notice him as well. His determination to win the ball back and muscle opponent players. However, he is still lack of confident and teamplay maybe becos he's out for too long thus the understanding isnt dat strong. There is many chances he shud pass or shoot but he did otherwise.

However, 1 thing i can confirm is Rosicky crosses 1000% better den Sagna.

AW, pls invite Beckham again to give Sagna a crossing lesson. This fella never learns. biggrin.gif

Anyone wanted to comment about Abou's defensive work yesterday? I think he did ok for what little time he had to do when he took over Craig's role..
