QUOTE(harrychoo @ Jan 4 2010, 09:45 PM)
I rather not hoping to see him taking song role.
I don't want to see he become back the old Diaby who forgot to track back opponents and being too offensively and forgot his DM duty.

Just put him as where he was now and i rather let denilson or even merida to take up that role
*
hmm..u must have missed a number of matches..
Coming back from injuiry, Diaby has been fantastic in terms of both offensive and defensive but it's the former that he's more better at..
He might not be as good as Song while defending but rite now he's da toughest CM we have at the moment.. thumbup.gif
Denilson is quite decent but he's too easily brush aside by bigger opponents while Merida is yet ready for BPL as what we can see during da match against WH.

Balance is one thing but obviously our midfielders, except Diaby, are so easily brushed aside. When Song is around, our def are very well protected + Song ables to hold da ball really well.
Not trying to be mean but Denilson's injuiry might be a blessing in disguise since he's really not quite the right man to replace Song and he cant really take blows..
I'd say AW's warning is quite right. He's not stuck by anything, so he must have 1-2 seconds to react but he just collapsed.

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Jan 12 2010, 08:50 AM)
http://www.7amkickoff.com/2010/kuranyi-tur...287amkickoff%29

It's just a random name drop by 7amkickoff, but somehow Kuranyi could be a good addition which fits Arsene's criteria. At 27 he would be in his peak age and provide a good foil to Robin once the latter returns, and the same time offer experience and a role model to the youngsters in their early 20s or late teens. On paper he probably isn't a red hot, tip top striker that can score 25-30 goals every season, but if the price is right he could be a decent option for us. Several things which may work against him would be (1)The teams linked with him are midtable teams, i.e. maybe he truly isn't top class material (2)At 27 and a seasoned veteran, he might not agree to lower wages and a non-guaranteed first team position (3)Dudu and Robin, although both of them have been unlucky with injuries.

Those who has watched him play before... opinions?
*
I've watched him played for Germany before and he's quite decent on both technics and pace. But he might not be the 'intelligent' player that AW is looking.. tongue.gif Again, NB is coming back and it's not scoring that we've to worry about.
IMO, he's price quite fair and maybe he can really be the 'fox-in-the-box'... laugh.gif

so far Eastmond is having a solid game but Traore is far too ofter leaving da left flank wide open... sweat.gif
we need to get the 2nd goal fast since they're really trying to piss all the Gunners off.
Really wonder y they hate us so much... doh.gif

Our young guns are making headlines but somehow the Rosicky really needs to step-up even further..
I didnt see any 'wonderful' in his performance, he was absolutely making no contribution last nite. On the break when Gallas was storming forward, instead making a pass, Rosicky juz lost the ball tamely while trying to dribble further into the penalty box. What was he thinking? doh.gif
yes, he made several tackles but most of the time the ball went out for a throw in...
I doubt he'd be able to keep the starting line-up when walcott or NB is available again..

On Gallas's incident, again all the major English papers chose to focus on Arsenal rather than the ref... doh.gif
The ref has indicated to play on yet Arsenal's players were questioned..when Everton chose to play on, they're allowed to do so..

QUOTE(funnyTONE @ Jan 24 2010, 11:23 PM)
I'll be frank. I'm not so keen of winning the FA cup, but sad because its one less avenue for Arsenal youngsters to gain experience. Worse, the loss is demotivating for the whole team.
Tonight, back four was so terrible. Its acceptable for fabianski and traore, because they'll have a chance to learn their lesson, but what about sol campbell and silvestre? They're too old edy.
Anyway, its a bitter loss, but its even worse if the team don't learn anything from this match. Stokes truly deserve the win. Tonight, they outclassed Arsenal without needing to 'rough' us up.
Good nite guys, tomorrow is gonna be a bleak monday.
*
Awww..thinking of that already painful...
it shud have been at least 1 senior player at each dept. Wish come true for AW... tongue.gif karma really bites back..

He WAS the best manager we had.Agree

But IS no longer the man to take Arsenal further. Get real

As a fan Sentiment is one thing..talking about winning things is another. He cant take this team further that's a fact.ust thank him for being the legend who once achieved great things but we need to move on and Arsene should step down by end of season.
*
it was a pissed morning, recounting the horror show last nite..but you're really hilarious...lol
find us a manager that can build a team that play the beautiful game yet manage to create a super healthy financial for the club...

it was a gamble last nite but it didnt work out..
IMO, Fabianski even more nerve-wrecking than silves. Da commentators said "everytime he comes out, it's a test."... biggrin.gif

Guss is One of the realistic choice..I hope all you Arsene die hard fans aware there's life after ARSENE

Jose mourinho did win CL with PORTO without any star signing then.
Joseph guardiola thogh inexperience but have the idea to win things.
Even Rijkaard have won CL before..Arsene has never

So there are many many more capable world class manager out there.
(who will sign capable players if Arsene are clueless to do so)
Time to make a call!
*
LOL..what a day to start with..Yes, we've won quite a number of cups before the Romans era, but if you're so looking forward for those days again, you might be barking up the wrong tree.. icon_idea.gif
We're still in the BPL marathon and CL playoff, and u're calling for AW's head?
Real Gooners are after WENGERBALL... not "we're champion, we're champion, we're champion, throphy-less midgets kids wont make it!".

Dang....Kids these days are so ill-mannered...lol
we should stop feeding the trolls. Otherwise the punishment would be watching hull vs wolves over & over again...

Hopefull we'll get a strong reaction on the coming match against A.villa since cesc is really disappointed at the end on the match last nite.

For those who have been ranting since this morning, i think all the Gooners heard you and you may stop.
You may act like a toddler being refused a candy who'll scream until u get the candy...BUT, this is not the case..
Peter Hill-Wood has said before, AW CAN HAVE THIS JOB FOR LIFE...Anymore point to argue?

If really insist to chop AW, please initiate a protest/petition(asking AW to step down) to all the Malaysian Gooners and call FFT to be the official media..

Lotsa goodluck to you.

Mannone should have played more.. He made some mistakes on the previous matches but his age tells all and he's the most acrobatic GK we've i believe..
Based on yesterday performance, Fabianski seems doesnt dare to take risk or he got 'crouch' injuiry before this? tongue.gif

Hopefully our soon to be 'best' striker in the world will make it against Villa with couple of bangs.. biggrin.gif

Found this comment at Arsenalmania:
"He(Denilson) is by far the worst senior player at arsenal. he is also the only player dat hasnt improved since last season. jus look at abou nd song, they wer all pple we wer talkin bout becoming fabs partner after flamini left. since den out of the 3 song nd abou hav taken their games to the next level but denilson has refused to improve."

Holy crap... 'crying' again?! dang, this kid never learned...
Nice guys also finish last... tongue.gif ..that's y post being deleted.

Sendy's move to Everton would be good for him to get some 1st team experience in EPL + AW doesnt need to take risk playing him against Drogba again... sweat.gif

I'd say let Song take a rest 1st and then join the team at Emirates this wkend.. icon_idea.gif

Forget it...those spoilt brats wont leave and they wont stop 'crying' until they get what they want..
Why? because they used to cry until they get their 'candies' from their mummy... tongue.gif not the rotan that usually 'enjoyed' by those 70s/80s kids... laugh.gif

got a feeling that we'll be back to 442 but then there's no sub for striker... hmm.gif
