hmmm...u guys do realised that yesterday's match wasnt exactly eastmond's debut match right? His debut was against portsmouth. I remember he looked really shaky in that match. And yesterday's match wasnt any better. Nonetheless, to be fair, he's considered pretty decent for his young age =)

Well... i guess maybe it's good that Song is away. We can try different approach to our game plan. Last nite i thought it was interesting to see Clichy and Traore on the same pitch but worked out all right. smile.gif

When Clichy comes in, and Diaby drops back to defend, it was better for the defense. however, there were some lapses and open spaces left by Diaby still. he needs to be more discipline in his defending.

btw, i'm still reeling about davies and robinson.. those cunts! can't wait for arseblogger to comment.

Eastmond was the total flop in this game. His passing was awful, mistiming tackle and always had the need of Vermaelan to back up the left flank. The main contribution of him was the shot he took. Other than that, he's just awful. If you watch the game and focus more on eastmond, you'll see how lucky Arsenal are, when Bolton didn't take advantage of the clear chance left by Eastmond.

I was so relieved when he was taken off in early 60 minutes. It's kinda rare to see Wenger sub so early. (Usually 70++ or later minutes)

One thing good about Eastmond though.... Since Bolton caught Arsenal weakness on left back, Arsenal also can clearly predict that they will keep attacking us on that area.. and somehow, the defence was quite concentrated and not too wide.
Happy with the win, but i'd definitely hate to see Wilshere going on loan in Bolton, after seeing those ugly attitude of Bolton players (Especially that guy wearing No.7 Kicking and Grabbing Cesc's hair). I worry their brute attitude and personality will somehow affect Wilshere's attitude, and who knows he might get bullied by them while he's in there

I disagree. I was kinda impressed with Eastmond's performance. Never expect he will start. For a 17 year old kid playing away from home, I must say this is good performance dude

Eastmond and Traore were horrible last night... keep on losing possesions and giving away ball cheaply, particularly in the 2nd half...

Taylor could have punished us if not for his poor form of shooting last night... shakehead.gif

2nd half was bad... i can say only Almunia kept us from giving away the lead... the rest were dead awful... and Rosicky still not match fit yet or he actually completely lost his form after so long on the bench.. doh.gif

mayb its tough against a side that promotes physical game (look at that bull head Owen Coyle also know doh.gif ), damn hate those mafarkers trying to crush cap-Fab whenever possible throughout the whole match... vmad.gif

hopefully this wednesday we can outsmart them on team play at home and grab an easy win...

Eastmond can only get better. I wont deny that he's had a bad game and his passing was pretty horrendous and he offered little to the team, except for a couple of neat passes but thats pretty standard for any other players. Its a good experience for him to come into a big game like yesterday. When i say big game, as in Bolton being very physical and threatened us from all angles and Eastmond will get good match experience. He's definitely not reached the level of Ramsey or for that matter Vela, in terms of match experience, as evidently you can see he was pretty nervous. But give him some time, he'll come good.

I think Denilson should be back the next game, we'd be more stable with Denilson back in the fray and would give us a massive boost in the midfield.

yesss!!!we won!!!another inspired and majestic performance from our captain fabulous!!!i also would like to give credit to almunia for keeping a clean sheet yesterday...he was solid throughout the game...he managed to get good quality saves....i think if he keeps playing like that, then i do not have any qualms about him being our no 1 keeper....i hope it's not an one off performance!!!go gunnerss!!!!midweek against the bolton again...let's keep the momentum going!!!

a good win, but not a good display from arsenal.
We were lucky cuz bolton players didnt take their good chances to score against us, they have like 4-5 clear chances to punish us.
imagine those chances given to torres rclxub.gif

campbell was not in the lineup since he was not registered in time for the squad....the official transfer of campbell only happened few hours prior to the match and that made him ineligible to be in the squad...but no worries...he will definitely be in the squad for the next match and beyond until the end of the season.... thumbup.gif

I don't think so , that yellow card from Rosicky was absolutely unnecessary . Yes , I do admit Bolton players were playing rough , but I hope we don't fight back just because of that . If this kept on , it will only attracts more cards and even injuries . sad.gif

yups...its been a while since we have a "rough" fella in our team since the days
of vieira, keown, parlour etc.

But i agree oso with Breaktru point. There's no need to retaliate to opposition
for unnecessary card @ sent off

@@BTW if i were Cesc last nite, when matt taylor press his knee on the back of cesc/my head..
..I would punch his face right on the spot lol tongue.gif tongue.gif poor sportsmanship
