i think you'll have to settle with PDR10
local distro says that the SW150 EOL already
but i think SG distro might have left some old stock(why do i know? cuz im looking for one too, with the same criteria tongue.gif)

if really cannot get the SW150, i think i'll get the impact 10 or impact mini (~RM1.4-8k) instead smile.gif

wa..EOL already.. doh.gif SW250 not bad.. consider.. how the price?

Hi,

Can any sifus teach me how to setup the subs? the LFE shud i put advanced mode or settle with those preset (110,200,etc). I can really feel those preset have more bass but lot of distortion too.

I found this statement on SVS support " It is very important to verify that your receiver Sub-Out (LFE) channel is set to the same level as your front right and left channels. "

Is that mean all my speakers (front, rear ,center ) shud set at same crossover?

THanks

Let your avr do the crossover. Set your sub to 'bypass' for freq xo.

Btw, what speakers that you are using? Satelites normally above 100Hz. Capable loudspeakers can go lower than 60Hz. But, mostly recommend to set it at 80Hz.

setting crossover at high value such as 250Hz won't spoil your speakers.but why would you wanna do that? what's the frequency response for your center speaker? you might wanna match it with the subwoofer.

If that is the bass management crossover setting then I don't see any reason to set it at 250Hz. It would mean that freq below 250Hz is diverted from your speakers to your sub. The trouble is can your sub play up to 250Hz? Most subs can't and therefore you will have a gap in the freq response.

In other words your sub might play up to 150Hz, then your speakers play from 250Hz onwards. So there is a gap between 150-250Hz.

So as mentioned earlier, you might want to set it around 80-100Hz depending on the capability of your speakers. Also, there is no issue of causing your speaker to koyak if set too high. Please do some reading about crossovers and freq to understand what it's all about.

I think what it means is to set them all to be the same loudness. Nothing to do with crossover.

You will need a SPL meter to do this.

If DSP-3400 is really selling at RM3,800, it is very very attractive price considering its performance & its 14-inch driver at sub RM4k price range.

But I seriously doubt you can find it at this price range beside probably in Miri. Velodyne CH-12Q is retailing in the region of RM3k to RM3.5k in Kuching. I still think it will be a steal to get a fully imported 14'' sub from Canada at below RM4k. I would wish to visit the AV shop in Miri and maybe can get some other equipments real cheap.

DSP-3400 list price in US is $950 (RM3,135)
Street price cheapest is $560 (RM1,848)

with the 65lbs weight...shipping can calculate from there....
so if the unit can sell at RM3.8k here, it's very near to US list price and a good value if compare to list price, but if compare to street price....then sweat.gif , I can only say that everything in Malaysia is demn overprice!!!

The latest price for the DSP-3400 that I know of is ONLY RM3300.
Still don't believe it!!!

From what I know, its the S.. that is way overpice here in Bolehland.

My friend bought one in Miri for Rm3500. Go back in this thread and you can see someone bought it for RM3300 only. Good luck.
