I picked up my Velo Impact 12 last tuesday did not have much time to test it out yet but need to clarify something with other Velo users, do you guys get the speaker "Thump" sound when you turn the unit on? if it is a faint 'thump', then it is indeed quite normal.

for my case, the slight thump will there if the sub is still in operating mode (green status led), and if the sub is left idle for a while it will go into standby mode (red led) and no thump will be heard when switch off.

I don't remember any thump with my previous Velo 12Q. Also no thump with my Rythmik.
Anyway, seems some have and some don't.

my previous Velodyne 10R and current SVS don't have the "thump" either switching ON or OFF.
