At the moment yes. Don't forget the 360 is one year ahead of its competitors, so they definitely have a bigger base and a bigger library.
PS3 have some really good titles coming out so I won't be surprised if they catch up pretty soon. |

One gripe about PS3 graphics...they still have not overcome the jagginess!! I was looking at Virtua Fighter 5 graphics and wow jaggy galore! I see staircase everywhere! I don't own a PS3 (yet) nor 360, but come on, what's so great about the PS3 when such a fundamental graphic problem they can't solve?

It's because the 360 GPU can do AA to remove jaggies for almost no performance hit, so i think most 360 games use it. The 360 GPU is clearly better than the PS3 GPU, as i've said before. |

Whatever bloats your collective goats i guess. lol.I'm not saying ALL developers do take advantage of it, i'm stating a fact here about the 360 GPU "free" AA capability which the PS3 GPU doesn't have, which is why you'll probably see more jaggies on the PS3 than on the 360, because most developers will probably take (or have already taken) advantage of a feature like that. It doesn't require much effort on their part as far as i can tell. This post has been edited by ikanayam: Jan 20 2007, 07:15 PM |

QUOTE(ikanayam @ Jan 20 2007, 07:10 PM) Whatever bloats your collective goats i guess. lol. It all sounds great in theory, but the fact remains that PGR3 runs at a lower res and no-AA. So where is this 'free' AA that you claim to be? Seriously, it's pointless to argue just about tech specs when the core of the fun came from the game itself. Most ppl don't just drool about tech specs, it's the games. That's the main reason most ppl bought their console in the first place. GAMES... NOT TECH SPECS. Not just by something u read off the net. |

Fact? Here's a fact for ya: Most console gamers don't give a damn about technical specs, what they care most is the games itself. You'd say Xbox360 has a better GPU, which everyone knows early on. But really, so what? The PS3 may have a weaker GPU, but it's not like the difference is that obvious like comparing the Xbox to the PS2. Not everyone is that geeky till they'd say something like, "OMG, my console can't do FP16 HDR + antialiasing. This suX0rs!!".
People buy consoles to play games, not to drool at tech specs. End of story. |

I don't give a damn about people who are ignorant and want to remain ignorant. People buy consoles to play games, not to drool at tech specs. End of story. This is a "speculation discussion" thread, you don't have to participate if you believe you've reached the "end of story". Leave it to the geeks. |

The XB360 gets free AA due to it's massive on substrate EDRAM, which means that the performance hit from implementing AA is nil. It's as simple as that. There was no other topic than the jaggies, so don't go stuffing points where they don't need to go. |

If AA is free and easily implemented, why isn't it in PGR3? Some other games on Xbox360 has its fair share of jaggies as well.
