The title is not misleading. It just simply states that the console war as viewed by a developer. He works as a developer and therefore it is a developer's perspective.

The PS3 Cell thingy is considered a very powerful tool by developers but it is something new to them. It will take them a while before they can unleash the full potential but in the meantime, whats to keep them going?

Producing subpar games just to keep the interest. Which is why the 360 and the Wii is having the advantage. The system they use is something developers are familiar with so the process is relatively shorter.

I do not think the developer is disregarding PS3 as a good machine, just that it doesn't justify the hype it is on right now.

There will be around 110 titles (RPG and more) I believe for the Jap market with Blue Dragon kicking off the wave. However, whether it will be released for other markets is still a question mark for us.

Since everyone loves to believe that Japanese companies tend to produce better games, this is why Microsoft might just be able to stay ahead of Sony:

1. Developer Tri-Ace, known for its work on Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean, announced that it is working with Microsoft Game Studios on a new yet to be titled RPG.

2. Square Enix and Game Arts announced Project Sylph, an XBOX 360 exclusive title.

3. Bandai Namco said remake of Pac Man and Galaga would be available on XBOX Live. They also announced a shooting adventure game called Zegapin XOR and Culdcept Saga, a Live-enabled game.

4. As we all know, FF creator Hironobu Sakaguchi said Blue Dragon is on track for the December release and his second game Lost Odyssey is slated for a 2007 launch. He also revealed that his company Mistwalker is working on a third 360 game called Cry On.

Capcom is on Xbox 360. Heck there is even rumours that Microsoft will buy over Capcom.

Square-Enix is also on Xbox 360. Not so sure about Konami, but there are news that says Konami is pressuring Hideo Kojima to make MGS4 multi-platform.

Square Enix is working on a game called Project Sylpheed for the XBOX 360, which btw is an exclusive title. I don't kid myself, sometimes its good to just do a quick search on Google before mouthing off.

Capcom did Dead Rising which was a very successful game for the 360. And they are working on Lost Planet which is highly anticipated. As for DMC4, it was announced a PS3 exclusive but that might change if annual reports are to be trusted, since Capcom has said that their future direction is to make their games multi-platform.

Some gamers don't actually want to stick to the tried and tested. I am tired of FF-Infinite and I wish Square-Enix will move out with something new which is what Project Sylpheed is all about.

CAPCOM has Lost Planet and Dead Rising for the XBOX 360.Oh Resident Evil 5 is also made for the 360. But i guess you only care about DMC.

What next? Metal Gear Solid? Seriously, by limiting yourself to judge a system by that few games, its already obvious you are gunning for the Sony Playstation.

edit: As for Dragon Quest, yeah we don't get it. But we got Blue Dragon which is drawn by Akira Toriyama and the gameplay is similar to Dragon Quest.

And we are still getting Lost Odyssey.

Get it from Gamer's Hideout. I just bought mine from them.

At the moment yes. Don't forget the 360 is one year ahead of its competitors, so they definitely have a bigger base and a bigger library.

PS3 have some really good titles coming out so I won't be surprised if they catch up pretty soon.
