The lump was hanging on his skin. It is not cancerous. It could be a cyst do to roughage while i force-fed him. It didn't grow bigger.

Shiro died of tummy and breath problem due to low immune system and nervous brokedown.

Moral : NEVER use FRONTLINE to ur cats/dogs if u have bunny at home. If there is a vet telling u that Frontline is safe on your bunny, please do not hesitate to spray on his/her face before his/her statement lead u to your bunny's death!!!

cute bunny u have there.. upload more photos of him/her for us.

Here are some basic advises:

1) Do not feed any veges to ur bunny at this age. It still looks young, no more than 8-10 weeks old i guess. Sangterap knows better about age. Hope he will give u some feed back on this. Wait until 5months old, then slowly introduce veges/fruits. Please refer the page #1 regarding safe fruits and veggies for bunnies.. But pls do not attempt to feed those at this age.

2) Feed unlimited alfalfa hay and u may introduce some pellet. Increase the pellet amount slowly. When my bunnies were at this age, i gave them chopped alfalfa and Show Rabbit Feed from Beh & Yo. Later u may slowly introduce Pro Optimum rabbit pellet and Oxbow BB1523 (alfalfa based) pellet to give some variety on its diet.

3) Get a proper cage for it, furnished with ceramic feeding bowl, hanging plastic bowl for water, bathmat or tiles as the cage flooring.

Other than these, u may refer basic basic rabbit owner guideline on our page #1

Enjoy your bunny!! thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

observe their poox2. if their poox2 is consistent hard and round plus everyday they eat their food, it sign of healthy rabbit.

i gave fresh apple to Milo, 2 month ++ male bunny once a week. my 2 bunny gila bout apple.

lastly, don't cuddle or play with them too long. let them familiar with u where u dont poses danger to them.

Hi all,

His name 'bibit'. It's not a cool name but we're have fun when calling him this name ^^.

Oops, btw.. i asked the shopkeeper at pet family at megah bout his/her gender, they said it still small, not able to identified its gender yet. Errm, i assume is a "male" cause it quite active actually. I don't have any playpen yet right now, as i normally let him to wander around my living hall as i observing him carefully. Should i get one??

I have a cage where it's actually 8-10 times bigger than it's current size. His size now is slightly bigger than a palm.
I have some question here. In his age like this, do i need to feed him pellet or hay? am i need to control the amount of food? Cause normally i put more than enough for him, and a mineral stone to shape his teeth.

Please, do advise me. ^^

Opps, i just gave 2 slice of carrot to him. Omg.. i think i need to control that. So, i only best to give him vege or fruit when he's 6 months+ old? Right now his poo poo still round, dry and hard. I guess, is healthy rite?

Stop the carrot right away!

If u dont have any playpen, just monitor him when u let him out of cage. make sure he wont chew any wire/cable at home.

your rabbit is healthy. u can get playpan for them ( 4 x 4 ). make sure they are not expose to stray cats (outside)

do u know , they can easily squeeze their body out from playpan.

as for apple, i cut into small size. not entire apple. both my bunny didn't fall sick or diarrhea. furthermore, i only gave them once a week as treat.

as for pellets, let him eat. i gave my bunny 3 types of food since i got them. pellets, alfafa hay and timothy hay. normally they only eat pellet n alfafa at this age as yummy. timothy is for bunny above 6 month old. i let them eat because it helps their digest system.

each owner has their own style of keeping rabbit. you have to try and analysis yourself. no right or wrong. trust your feeling.

Is there any reason for u to bath ur bunny? I never bath mine except if they're too dirty (soaked in their urine etc). Normally, i'm using damp cloth and wipe them clean. If their is some stain, u may use cornstarch powder (i'm using Pureen baby cornstarch powder), sprinkle the stained fur, rub a bit, then comb to remove the powder smile.gif

actually most breeders/websites do not recommend bathing rabbits (see links below). it's very traumatic for the rabbit. my lil boy has never had a bath before in his life. what i do is- some pets shops sell rabbit wipes which is basically moist tissue, whenever i feel like the rascal needs a cleaning, i use the wipes to wipe him down. if there is any matted fur, i'll just get the pet groomer to shave it off. rabbits are really really clean animals, they dont smell at all (i should know cos i kiss my lil boy all the time). if you take your rabbit to the groomer, just get him/her to cut your rabbit's nails, brush down the rabbit, shave matted fur and clean his ears. most groomers will try to get you to allow them to give your rabbit a bath (i guess because that more $$$$ for them), be firm and say no.
