how are u so sure? SA give u B&W docs...
i want to order 2.0 also but latest SA said will be Feb. Who knows maybe can hit Mac?

QUOTE
if you are looking for discounts, there aren't. maybe some freebies like Forte merchandise or tinting voucher, got-lah.

i asked the SA about tinted voucher, he said none... haiyaaa...
can someone show me the sample voucher? i want to print & bring it to him...

We tested all 3 cars on the same road..  and in terms of the NVH from Good to bad for the 3 rides
- 407
- 308
- Forte
They all having 17" wheels and at certain stage.. we have to raise our voice talking from front to back at only about 90km/h

diff people has a diff taste... for me of course 407 is more superior but i REALLY don't like it look. sampe applied to 308.
if i don't care about the look, of course i'll be end like u, buy 308...

that is the difference between pre-launch booking and current booking (he has ordered but you still not place booking yet). for pre-launch booking, the car may in the process to be brought here already. so by jan may get the car. but give max time la maybe on february (to be on safe side)

this is depending on the SA. if he cant give tint voucher then try ask for other stuff like full tank or other freebies. me got the voucher (this is not even requested by me or offered by SA before) and other stuff. but won't expose it here. just ask for something that SA can offer ya?

if i am KIA/NAZA, i will say CKD
but if i am SA/dealer, i will say CBU

same like first batch, we got the CBU but KIA/NAZA say its CKD
for first batch 2.0 most likely CBU.

but being CBU or CKD does not make any difference if NAZA assemble them here.
just wish/pray that the CKD unit will be like previous bestari 206 ya? Only assemble tyre and put the naza logo only rclxms.gif

For my case, i purchase the car from dealer, the SA promise a rm300 rebate for the tinted and she called the tint SA to the office to discuss with me, also a lady tongue.gif .so the rm300 is directly reduct from the price. So i am make sure i get the rm300 rebate + the special discount for the tint as well.

Autoworld Review

read review above & thinking to downgrade the rim to 16". is it a good choice?

QUOTE
My biggest criticism of it remains as the overly harsh ride of the SX. Using 17" alloys are too much of an overkill, severely compromising comfort and performance.

maybe the tyre pressure was not adjusted properly when they test drove the car.
my car's tyre pressure was >330 (for all the wheels) when i took the car out from stock yard last thursday.

now that the pressure is down to 220, ride is still firm, but acceptable smile.gif

the review did with stockyard tyre pressure at 340kpa. thats why the ride is crashy and wobbly.

you can downgrade but its advisable to do so after the warranty ended. coz if anything happened the warranty will void for tyre, suspension, etc.
or u can keep the 17" and use it for warranty claim.

with 16" you could get slight fc improvement. but loss in other advantages such as stability and grip

FYI, most of us FORTEzens here have faith in the car called Kia Forte.
that is whats bringing us together here.
we all had to endure with these jokers (SA) coz we had no choice but for the love of Forte.

now that we've gotten our car, fingers crossed we'll get good support from the service centers

as for me.. usually i will rev b4 going to 1st service..
coz since the engine oil is going to replace.. so.. i think it is better to rev.. so that all the 'dirt' (duno what it calls) will then take out when changing the oil..

I'm doing so too in previous car because was told by car mechanic friend that is the correct way to break in. If not, the car can't show its true power in future ANYMORE.
After break in, it did feel better power and was use it for 5 years with no problem in engine. well, maybe just my case, you could try if you dare.

fortelover did hers in jln tandang, 230, ok leh.

i hope we can bring our own stuff (engine oil etc) but it's not allowed.

Got so cheap meh.. RM130k is the best i found ( only left with premium models )

I still wanna the 2.0SX due to the price.. and with the extra $$ saved.. I can probably send the car for sound proofing to get a more decent / quiet cabin sound. .. no doubt, after riding in the conti.. the Forte suddenly became obvious on some areas... but the Forte still very good compared to some other cars especially at this price for the package.

I need a car by Feb end and booked the White / Bright Silver 2.0sx in November.. thinking should be no problem on getting it.. hopes i can still maintain my guts and not shifting... having said that.. now CFO has different comment after I got her to test out all 3 cars ( previously, she only sat at the back seat as passengers while I am behind the wheel but yesterday.. it was the other way round.. she tested all cars as driver and I am he passenger at the back )

This happened to be the main reason why we are considering other cars beside the long uncertain waiting time. Was previously thought it might be due to the 17" tires as someone said we probably not used to a 17" wheel... hence we went testing with all 3 rides on with the 17" wheel in our consideration list. There are still some amount of road / tyres noise in the 308 but in comparison to Forte, it is not that much. The nosiest cabin sound on the road we tested ( one of the small road in the industrial area beside Juru Autocity with many uneven road... which reassembled majority of the road in Malaysia sweat.gif )
