I'm keeping my thoughts open. Why I say celcom because they did sell off magic under their network. So no surprise celcom will seize this opportunity and bring in the phone.

"Why Nexus One does not have multi-touch"
I remember read from somewhere.. because Apple owned copyright on pinch to zoom multitouch technologies in State.. that why N1 hardware is there.. Nexus One totally does Multitouch in Euro version..not sure about Asia.. http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/07/surpris...oes-multitouch/ Added on January 10, 2010, 9:22 pm2010 would be Android year...more manufacture get into android... even Acer & Dell.. good... In future...ppl buying phone hardware and choose OS as they like... This post has been edited by bonanno: Jan 10 2010, 09:22 PM |

Frankly speaking,
If I ever have the chance, I wish I could own an Iphone and a Nexus One and a WinMo phone because I just love them all. All three of them have their own pros and cons. You may like it or you may not. So, no point arguing. All three of them have their potentials to grow in the future so why judge so early? Take WinMo as example, if you hate any winmo phone before the HD2, give HD2 a try and IMHO, you'll say " wow, thats different!" Win7 is coming, Iphone version 4 is rumored to be arriving and the still-developing Android is giving surprise every now and then. lets just sit back and watch the grow This post has been edited by frankgan: Jan 11 2010, 12:23 AM |

I always liked Winmo. But with this recent launch of N1, I think it is about time to upgrade or even better own a 2nd phone for myself.
Is it possible to buy from SG? |

irwan, its reaching on the 14th..Was the fastest I could get..Ordered instantly when the page was launched at 3am on 5th January, didnt pick engraving at all so it wouldn't slow down the delivery. Reached my friend on the 7th January at 4pm. He couldn't send it down on that day because Fedex was going to close when the phone reached him. Next morning at 7:30am he was already awake to send it to Fedex..I asked him to use priority shipping..For $133 USD, Fedex will deliver to my doorstep on the 14th January..It could've been faster if it was from Singapore, but I wanted a purely original US sold Nexus One..hehe..
I promise, on the 14th January, I will have my camera ready and the moment it arrives, I'm going to do some intensive testing on the spot..I will be taking unboxing images first, then once the device is out and loaded, I will do a video review for the features and performances.. I've also prepared a spam email address specially for testing it..You guys can send emails to the address in my signature. Send HTML emails..Send text emails..Send attachments..I have set a quota of 250MB for this e-mail to avoid excess junk..lol..After 14th, this email will be deleted..Start sending now.. jianwei87, you are right..The HD2 is indeed magically interesting just because of SenseUI |

well been using WINMO for 3 to 4 years already... mmm... and im using the 5.xx version.. hahaha... and still using it...
well what can i say is the os doesnt make much diffrent, my 6828 still running fine just that the batt is dead too fast now.... even my fren 02 with 6.xx look so normal compared to mine.... (Dont compare the hardware lah ofcourse 6828 is one old hag already by now) i think what make the diffrent is the software we used in the phone... for me to make my phone alive, must have certain compulsary software in it... then im gonna live with that phone for long long time.... My next upgrade is android, and it could be nexsus 1. for the reason of customization, since the end is limitless..... Just realize that i cant buy n1 online.. dammmmm i thought they are open to all since purchase is straight from google... is there any other option to get N1... wish to use cc for purchase hehe This post has been edited by mambo: Jan 11 2010, 02:39 AM |

Strange that you've choosen US model instead of SG. I believe you do know that US model doesn't come equipped with multitouch (at least disabled on software).I promise, on the 14th January, I will have my camera ready and the moment it arrives, I'm going to do some intensive testing on the spot..I will be taking unboxing images first, then once the device is out and loaded, I will do a video review for the features and performances.. Is there some other reason you've took US model instead? Btw, I'll still observe the situation with the 3G. Heard there will be an OTA update today in US to solve this 3G issue, so lets see. I've kinda given up hope on Msia getting an official N1. Since there isn't any GOOG office here, it may take longer for local telco to tie up with GOOG (and at the end, even cost more!!, *hint* maxi$) Once you receive ur device, hope you have the time still to give it a full review (and unbias one). Also let us know the hassel of going through the custom.. *ugh*. I have the option of grabbing the HK or SG unit since i have people/colleagues dropping by in 2 weeks time. Wonder if there will be any difference with the HK one. |

1. All the device are same. by default it's multitouch capable but the software did not incorporate it due to.... read previous post.
2. Warranty claim is international. check google's site for further information. |

QUOTE(Vervain @ Jan 11 2010, 11:23 AM) 1. All the device are same. by default it's multitouch capable but the software did not incorporate it due to.... read previous post. I've read the warranty statement from Google, but yet i've seen a distinct notion of international warranty on any HTC local office.2. Warranty claim is international. check google's site for further information. So if we took N1 back to msia, problems were found, send it to local HTC office, you'll run into the risk of local HTC saying "we do not support/service this model in this country". Same goes with PS3, if you buy it from SG, you had to return it to SG for warranty if poop hits the fan. * though i did not read a PS3 warranty* So shall we wait for Shaz's unit to kaput and see how he go through local HTC warranty? *evil grin* heh... |
