Any warranty left?
I guess its kind of worth it provided that the laptop is still in working conditions~
Still I think you should ask Mr. Docter (you can find him in the Alienware thread), he sells Alienware laptops and he knows lot more than I do nod.gif

Hi All Toshiba guru,

My cousin bought a notebook in S'pore, after few months the notebook can't boot anymore and the shop told him that he need to pay 600 dollar to change for a new motherboard, is the motherboard suppose under warranty ? I never heard it required to pay for repair if it is under warranty, can someone enlighten me on this whether it might be a con case ?

Toshiba warranty in s'pore should be international and can he send back to M'sia to fix instead ?

If the 1st year warranty is international, then yes, you can repair it in Malaysia as well. But do take note that you must send the laptop to Teledynamics (if you're in Selangor, one is at Shah Alam, the other is the LYP), Teledynamic is in-charge of handling the servicing of Tosh laptops nod.gif

Is his laptop the same spec as this one? LOL laugh.gif
He has very serious rigs wub.gif
I think you should be able to sell at around RM2.3-2.6k for your M645, its a nice lappy nod.gif
Again, the deal seemed a bit too good to be true if you ask me... if the M17x is in pristine condition, then its worth it...
But personally, I think you shouldn't go for a 17 incher as you'll probably regret sooner or later nod.gif

I still think you shouldn't get one... you'll need the portability hmm.gif
As mentioned, depends on the condition and warranty of the M15x...
Imho its worth it hmm.gif
Perhaps you would want to sell your M645 and then get the M11x R3 instead? hmm.gif

New Qosmio T851 with glasses-free 3D capabilities introduced:http://www.notebookcheck.net/Toshiba-reveals-Qosmio-T851-notebook-with-glasses-free-3D-capabilities.51919.0.html
laugh.gif
Looks exactly like a Qosmio F60...
Quited from the article:

QUOTE
As for the actual specs that are behind the Qosmio’s 3D capabilities, the notebook will come with a 15.6” display with a Full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels (1366x768 when viewing in 3D) along with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M GPU and an Intel Core i5-2410M processor. Otherwise, the notebook comes with 8GB of RAM, a 750GB HDD, a Blu-Ray player and Harmon-Kardon stereo speakers.

It won't be enough for gaming that's for sure laugh.gif

Since it using the webcam to track, then there will be a constant led light beside the webcam when watching 3D ?

Yeah, its highly possible, the light is blue in color, typical of most Tosh's laptops doh.gif
But I guess maybe they'll enable the option of disabling the light during movies or something? hmm.gif
But I wouldn't really count on what Toshiba claimed, tracking the face of the user? Its just like the Toshiba SmartFace Technology.... which more or less worked, but is extremely slow laugh.gif
Hope we'll see improvements on this... and too bad the Qosmio will only be available in Japan for the time being sad.gif
