If and only if the price of original SiS sets are lower than the current AP price point. But if the RM2699 price is real, then I guess AP price will not move much. Maybe when Singapore sets are available, price will go down a little bit. If original sets are sold at RM2699, I guess the AP price is attractive right? Hehehe...

Yeah if you're only looking at Android phones, then getting locked down on contract with Digi is a reasonable proposition. Some of us also would like to save this bullet for the upcoming iPhone 4G hehehehehe...

Now upcoming phone , most of them are come with android ~~~ and the specification of Desire is consider one of the best phone in the world , so I dont find anything that doesnt match the pricetag . Or you can just buy from clove.uk , just Rm1.7 k

HTC phones aren't really that expensive, just m'sia...
Heck like linkinawe said, i got mine from clove.co.uk... cost me RM1.8k including shipping.. i'm in Aus so i didn't get tax...(AUD1k & above only got tax)

Probably due to tax and SIRIM problems that cause the phones to be expensive

price only exp in malaysia i believe..android still an open source and the license is cheaper than windows or iphone OS..
