guys i got my Desire finally
i got a sticker on my Desire box with no 39, is it i m the 39 person who get the phone?
the HTC booth is not HOT actually... i think not much ppl know what is HTC nor Android ><
n those sales person do not really know about the phone function

for the data plan... the maxis person told me that it cannot be upgrade or downgrade.
Means if u r taking 500Mb data plan cannot be upgrade to 1.5Gb or 3Gb data plan during contract period ><

I mean the car charger..everything else seems ok..just as for the keyboard input

My keyboard language got English, Espanol,Francais and Italiano..

Lol..ok..but in my language setting its all SEA region of language of choice..im relly2 confused right now..well ill be back to the booth tommorow asap

Try holding down the power button. There should be an option for silent mode.

Also try holding down the Home button too. See what happens

2. How to transfer contacts from Nokia e71 to Desire? I noticed Desire contacts got categories such as Phone contacts, Google contacts, SIM contacts but previously Nokia dont have.

I believe there are many ways to do this.

If you have nokia pc suite, try to sync e71 with your computer. Then see if the pc suite can export to .csv format. Next, upload the single .csv file to google contacts (can do from gmail online). Finally, let your phone synchronize online.

Since I have a SE phone, I used myPhoneExplorer to export a csv file.

there is english keyboard setting
it's actually under the touch input chinese
there u will see english input settings

i ask the person who handle me in the maxis centre
he said can be upgraded

n then copy from the sim card to u desire

You guys know something..its just so damn easy to download apps in marketplace.but all i can see right noe is just free apps

One Maxis guy ask me if the phone is good or not...

I was Desire #53 at about 8:45pm. Car chargers were still very much available. Maxis sales staff was telling me that they expect a huge wave tomorrow. Better be there early.

Oh, and for those who want to port their number from another carrier (i.e. Digi or Celcom ⇒ Maxis), you gotta wait 2 days or so. Your line must be fully transferred to Maxis before you can get the phone.

I had no time to wait and also to go all the way back to KLCC, not to mention losing the chance to get my free car charger... so I just signed up for a new maxis line lol
