QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Dec 8 2009, 01:12 AM) Better design ...weight wise ya..sli for m15x..sounds good...But GPU too. I hope they make it more swap friendly for both the 15" and 17" in terms of changing parts. Or maybe 15" with SLI? Even if they offer M15x with SLI, They would prolly offer higher cards for the M17x. But it'd be nice to have the M15x with the GTX 280M even if its just 1 GPU...
The only thing I dislike about the M15x is the fact the screen looks mighty huge, but the frame takes a chunk of the sides and you realise the screen is actually much smaller..... |

QUOTE(pelvin @ Dec 8 2009, 03:51 PM) send to shop.. upgrade ourself!!(if there is such service) haha Well seeing from those people who has taken the m15x apart, it is possible for m15x to have SLI, but the casing wouldn't fit and the heat issue would be a big problem. However, it is possible for us to swap the GC since its MXM 2.1.i dont mind SLI my 260gtx tho.. are there possibilities the m15x can SLI? does the mobo support it anyway? *do it only after warranty is over |

i heard people saying dell will replace faulty part with refurbished parts hat have, if the laptop were to be sent back for warranty, was it true? refurbished part sounded horrible... can someone pls explain more about this to me, i think "the part was fixed from the faulty defected condition sent back by other user or retailer? what if my newly bought alienware malfunction for some reason someday, and there is no other choice than replace a new unit, they sent me a refurbished one? it sounds unfair to customer, if the part they compensate to us was defected components previously...

If replacing parts, it would be done at your location and they won't bring back. As for A Complete Change of unit, I have not heard of the replacement being a refurbished unit, I think it would be unfair to customers if that does happen so they should be a verbal confirmation with the DELL Technician that it would be NEW... |

i called them already, they said, yes! is refurbished part.... they said like they also not sure about the details of replacement part... just they were told, they refurbished word means the parts were taken from the cancelled order, or some retailers sent back the part to them, then the hardware was reexamine , if there was no problem, it go straight to be the replacement part

You sure? I have contacts in DELL Admin. I'll check with them to verify... Cos previously Dell Tech told me replace with NEW UNIT! Not Refurbished.... |
