Does anyone know about any deals for the M17x in the PC Fair? We've already heard about a deal for the M15x from Maxwell. smile.gif

I thought that in order to fully utilize the ram, we must have it parallely e.g 2 x 2 g, 2x4g and so on. Is it true? Can someone enlightenned me on this?

there is no problem with 4GB + 2GB configuration.

i had a long talk with the supervisor of Alienware today and took pics which I will upload in the main thread.

The deal is RM6599 with 3x2GB Ram. YES...3 SLOTS for ram.
Also the prices for accessories are chheaper.

if not, 4GB DDR3 will be sufficient even under heavy usage smile.gif

i see. thats why they do not bother upgrading for 6GB.
if there is just 2 slots, no way on earth Dell gonna give you 4GB DDR3 as promotion sweat.gif
