QUOTE(reiben05 @ Dec 26 2009, 07:03 PM) I understand. But I just couldn't persuade myself to get the top. The only reason why I would want it is so that I can use rotaries on it for better tube routing. If I really want to go for pump aesthetics, I would have gone with pump mcp355 + reservoir. It's a much cleaner setup, you can even save up on some space. Granted, I lose some performance, but then I am not joining any competition! Just looking to OC to 4GHz with lower temp for 24/7 usage Added on December 27, 2009, 1:54 am QUOTE(Susaiput @ Dec 26 2009, 07:16 PM) No I did not This post has been edited by tesla_rage: Dec 27 2009, 01:54 AM |

QUOTE(tesla_rage @ Dec 22 2009, 11:02 PM) Quick updates! bro, u got this problem due to no air flow around water block. U can buy some 40mm-60mm fans to active cool the chipset with some wire tie or mod.Managed to properly POST with everything on, so I am pretty sure I did not short circuit anything. I jumped straight from 3.2GHz to 4.0Ghz. Result is very encouraging. Idle temp is 35C, load temp while priming is at 57C. Superb! Previously when I was on TRUE120, the temp easily rose to 70++ when on load. New problem: Chipset is running too hot!!! Another problem: Mosfet is even hotter!!!!! if still cant satisfy, then only go for wc or u can try thermalright mosfet and hr-05 cooler since no longer in space constraint like old true120 days. U got plenty of room to work with around ur cpu area compare to time using true120. |

I thought it was too hot, but using a thermal sensor, the NB is hovering around 40C, so its all good
I don't bother to put any more blocks on this one. I will upgrade to i7 when I have the time to do so later this year |

Just order the board for him, I'm sure he's alright because his budget for this upgrade is RM30K. There are still lots of extra cash to spend

I dont like the Extreme because I need to use reducers for the chipset inlet/outlet. Its small size, stupid Gaygaybyte.
