let u happy for 5mths then later on locked u on their deal and give u less then 700k speed towards international.
Their rule so barbaric, even dare to state cant provide advertise speed more then 50% to international. waste money to upgrade only.

TM quite okay la compared to P1.....for international site, I regularly get 400-470KB/s................ rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

I thought that upgrading to 4mb, they will give you a modem. In the Terms & Conditions say so.

6. For upgrading to 2 Mbps or 4 Mbps, the new package is with modem.

Yesterday, technician came to my house to check my line, and he say i can upgrade to 4mb. He ask me whether to proceed with upgrade, i say yes and he called whoever at TM side, then passed the phone to me for me to do verification. I was so happy that i totally forgot about the modem. In the evening, i asked my brother whether the technician say anything about modem. he told me that when he take a peek at the technician order/instruction page screen, there is a note saying something like "don't give this customer a modem because he already have modem to use".

How come like that? Even actually i don't need a new modem, but the terms is clearly noted the package is with modem, but they not giving me one. Now waiting for my line changed to 4mb, then i request for that modem.

The status says In Progress, which means the upgrade is not completed. Check again later on and see if status shows as Completed. Then maybe the upgrade was successful, although it should not be.

I was told by 100 that it is not possible. But who knows whether they know... I guess there is no harm trying? At most, it wil be rejected right? As long as they don't cancel your acount or ask you to go TM Point to sort out any errors...

Here's the deal. A few days ago the government told MCMC to get TM to reduce the price of broadband as it was too expensive. I'm thinking maybe we should ALL send e-mail or contact MCMC about this 1mbps @ RM71 upgrade that 512k users can upgrade to but existing 1mbps users can't get. This is seriously unfair to us 1mbps users.

In fact I'm going to e-mail MCMC about it now so they will take a look. If you all send e-mails too then it can help us to reduce the price for the 1mbps. Send it at http://aduan.skmm.gov.my/

When the router supports ADSL2+, means it can support up to 24Mbps.
4Mbps with that router is not a problem.

I personally use that router too.
Click n' Connect ? Who needs it? Just open the browser and type http://192.168.1.1/ and insert the username and password and configure there.
It's faster that way.
