i tried the online upgrade, and tinkered around with the options. I am paying RM88 for streamyx 1mbps, and I saw one of the options is to 'upgrade' to streamyx 1mbps (RM71).

tried my luck, submitted, and voila, it came back with a "system error". tried a 2nd time, and got a new error, "already have case pending"...

oh yeah, forgot to mention that since yesterday night suddenly my streamyx was unable to connect, and until this morning still cannot...

price goes down by RM5... quality goes down by 50%.

Keep an eye out on your bills after you upgrade your packages. I upgrade my Streamyx to 4MB around July so my details is with them seems around November they quietly upgrade my house line to unlimited calls RM10 package which I did not subscribed to.

I noticed a letter dated mid November but only received early December regarding that I upgraded to unlimited calls RM10 package and it has been activated and I should request free DECT phone at TM Point.

At TM Point they claim I submited the application form early November. They wanted RM50 to cancel this contract, I ask them to show proof of the application since I never signed up for this. After a while talking with them, they finally agreed to waive the RM50 cancelation fee but not sure about the RM10 that will be in coming bill. I will need to go to TM Point again to try get that waived. I never apply for this as these days my family rarely use the house phone.

i upgraded thru online on Tuesday from 512k to 1MB, Wednesday up and running oredi

Upgraded too. Feeling abit skeptical now seeing all the throttling. But downloading at about 150kb/s-200kb/s

normally they do 'automated' upgrade.
once confirm upgrade, just restart modem since ANOC (AXXXXX Network Operation Center) via system.

so for say it will done by system not technician.

if you upgrade to 2 or 4 mb, there would be interference with the connection since the field technician need to turun padang and change the speed in IPSLAM.

hey, i upgraded mine on tuesday, how do i know whether it's upgraded? do i have to do anything after i send the application online? is there anyway i can check whether the upgrade is done? coz i tried speed check, same

You go back the website and look at your current package. Or test your speed

I used to get very consistent 180Kb/s with 1Mb line.

Then I gatal go an uprade to 2Mb line

And i download not using RS but DLnext server that is suppose to be faster. I heard RS now is even worst...12Kb/s dl!!

ur not eligible for the upgrade.. it doesnt make sense to upgrade from 1mb to 1mb again.

totally unfair for old users who had paid RM88 monthly for years...

That is nothing, if you take into account 4Mb user paying RM268 and now for the upgrade plan is RM150!!...which they are not entitled too

i upgraded online from 512 to 1mbps for additional RM5.

Worked for a whole 12 hours since yesterday morning download at 150kb/s, but since last nite its been stuck at 5-10kb/s for rapidshare and even ftp.

Don't forget that Combo deduct RM25 for your Phone Line Rental. Your Phone Line Rental become 0.

So, RM110 - RM25 = RM85 you save RM3 & get FREE Upgrade for 4 Months.....
