just to share my experience with u
mind u .. the powercord dont spend more than price of total value of yur amp
remember always the powercord must be 1/4 or 1/2 of the value of the amp
the audiogd amp's signature are dark, smooth and has slight warm soundsignature
so it might be a bit dark for hd650 or other's can with similar characteristic
may need to pair with fast & bright cables like silver plated copper or silver cable to make it fast and hard hitting bass with a bit of energy treble
make it more lively to wake up the hd650

the high end poisoning stuffs with lavry da10, benchmark dac1, primo analogue with sonus faber and harmonix footers

I am still pretty confused when it comes to your modded DT880 coz i never heard of electrostatic cans before and PCwork's workmanship is really darn good

sadly the workmanship of the person i commisioned to build in SG is way not into my expectation.......
broke bout 3 times and now i getting really frustrated with it ... have to go back and shoot him
but i can attest that pcwork's workmanship is one of best and can compare to Aftermarket cables selling in Headfi (hint hint APS and Double Helix ).....

Anyway the HD800 is much harder to drive with stock cable even there is a larvy DA11, HD800 is very choosy type of amp. After i have a talk with Sep90 on this cans...i know the charateristic of this HD800 is much polite and dark in every angle of sound which this is stock calbe. After i try the recable cable, the HD800 is much more musical and more emotional on it and the sound is not too dark and can feel the bass but still not fully come out the potential of the CAN. As i say earlier this HD800 is much choosy his another pair amp with it. Anyway is a great meet we have there and has been almost more than 9 months didn visit Pcwork. Ever then his speaker is make alot progress and upgrade on it. I look forward to have more gathering either mini session with everyone here who like to joining into Audiophile world. Bear in mind your Wallet SURE will deeply pain. Haha..as i recalled and check my history on spend 3 highend CAN in a same year which during 2008. This is much to my improvement. Hope next year more and more people to joining in to the TT session. Those who didn attend the TT on the last friday, no worries i think our organizer Eiraku will arrange more meet.

afterall hd800 need good source, and preferably tube amp or warm solid state amps to make it sings it's guts out or it cannot perform at it's stellar performance..very plain since the hd800 is very neutral and demanding

thanks for the tips...this will apply after i upgrade better dac (psst: pico dac n gamma1&2 (diy stuff) is better than compass)
