I'll type some brief impressions before Eiraku updates.

-Beyer dynamics most comfortable cans ever. Referring to the DT880/DT990. I love both of them much better than the ATs. They sound pretty balanced, not as bright as I had expected. Decent tonal texture and weight. Would love to have these for casual use. HD650's death clamp is like shitttt.

-AT lots of WoW factor. W1000K has a very rich tone. Feels like fine dining. Some midrange colorization though. AD2000 on the other hand is super easy to drive on the technical level, but subjectively too airy and light tonally for my tastes.

-I still prefer the sound of the HD650 over the big cans that were there that day but I could be only half right due to the less than ideal environment in CoffeeBean.

-IMO, most of you listen too loud tongue.gif

-I like Compass default setup. "Boring" and airy sounding, a bit bright but this is the "signature" you get from typical folded cascode amplifiers.

-Don't have much time with the many IEMs and Earbuds. Too many a variety!!!!

Agreed on the W10VTG (corrected, thanks kuman bro)... It's like sinfully rich chocolate, and I'm one idiot who likes my chocolate to be flavoured (and my sound a tad coloured)...

And about the loudness - agreed here... For me it's a side effect of too much mobile music with low-isolation IEMs (blame the PR2)...

And somehow I've taken a liking to the Senn signature.

This is easily a real vintage legend but it needs a damn good headphone amp to really shine. Seriously Im lucky coz Littleghost brought dBm for rioven so had a chance here.
A little bit dark but no veil. Jazz and classical will shine here.

AD2000
I felt like selling all my prized stuff paintball marker,fullface helmet just to buy this can.
Airy a little bright,soundstage is superb. really nice when couple with my silveramp.
oh...I got goosebump with this $hit!

Gotta agree with you on that!
Most comfortable cans that wont feel too flimsy or too precious to lie on the bed with.
The AT W5k though, was a real beauty and that was comfortable too.

Sound signature is almost like what you described but I really prefered it over the HD650 in terms of SQ and the choice of music I listen to.
Although I do love listening to vocals with HD650 but the Beyers just are generally better 'overall', kinda like a semi-master of all trades sans the kitchen sink I guess.

Well donno where to start...since my intention went audiophile TT is to chit-chat+pickup my lisa amp (ops..i mean dBm ) I even also dont consider myself as a audiophile..but as long its sound good..its okay for me. And thanks to organizer+all who make effort to came.

Damm light (in terms for weight). As usual audio-technica AD series, airy n bright. It has low, deep bass (quality not quantity)..but seems open design...its hard for me to judge (noisy enviroment at food court/coffe bean)
