ok, finally done with my business, been busy for 2 days straight biggrin.gif

some thoughts about the HD800, first, the earcup is HUGE, like bro pcwork said, the 1st headphone you can see with your own eyes while you're wearing it laugh.gif And it's pretty heavy, I cant help noticing it's weight while I'm wearing it sweat.gif

As for the sound, I'm not a fan of Sennheiser all the time, currently this is the only Sennheiser that is acceptable for me, the sound is neutral and slightly laid back, definitely not on the warm side. Pairing it with the Lavry DA11 gives a very very clean sound......to the point that it sounds sterile and lifeless sweat.gif , all of us agreed that the DA11 internal amp is not a good choice for the HD800, something like a tube or warm SS should be a better pair. Using the DA11 as DAC and connecting it to sep90's Audiotrak inamp gives it a much warmer sound and some bass, which makes the HD800 much more pleasant to listen to.

The HD800 really is very sensitive to the equipment used to drive it, one advice for anyone who wish to get it, make sure your source and amp are up to par biggrin.gif

Anyway in the gathering the headphone I like the most is akabane's vintage woody(ATH-W10VTG) thumbup.gif

hmm? all these r not genuine oyaide iec sockets....china tiruan oyaide plugs....
real 1 cost a bomb and there should have oyaide genuine hologram by the side and the housing r nylon polester not like rubbery type housing and shiny silver polished plugs...japanese trademark for their extreme handicraft
lol the p-029 is not real and the color is not transparent doh.gif
http://oyaide.com/e_audio/audio_products_files/pc_plug.htm
these r finest plugs made for audiophile usage and they cost bout U.S. 100 to 150 for each only......
http://oyaide.com/e_audio/audio_products_files/pc-004.html
http://oyaide.com/e_audio/audio_products_files/f1_m1.htm
the flagships models r 004 model and M1/F1 oyaide like i using for my crystal cable ..those r.. well....600 pair and 1.2k a pair sweat.gif
learn how to identify fake oyaides by checking this faq http://www.oyaide.com/e_audio/support/support_index.htm
