I had double checked with CS at digi specialist before sign up.
For DG Smart Plan that are not attached to any vioce plan (DG50/DG150) OR Blackberry Device Purchase at discounted price.
THERE WILL BE NO CONTRACT BONDED. But minimum 3 months subscribe or RM200 penalty still applied.

Hope this clear thing out.

Digi network are mainly EDGE.
BUT, they are expanding their 3G coverage around big city like Penang, KL and etc. Melaka still cant get digi's 3G yet.

For BB device, most new model such as 9000, 8900 and etc support multi band.
For BOLD 9000, it support 3G/UMTS/EDGE/GPRS
for 8900, it support EDGE/GPRS. NO 3G support.

If U live in big city, U can opt for BB device that support 3G. But I also considered other feature before decide to purchase my 8900. smile.gif

so, does that mean Blackberry data usage = unlimited

if not Blackberry data usage = charge?

lol, confused now.. wink.gif

so, when we have unlimited BB plan, can i say we dont actually need to use WIFI ? (for emails, IM, browsing, etc) ?

Yes, you have to use BB to get unlimited data.

Based on what is published and made available to public by the telco, you've got most of your facts wrong.

Under Terms and Conditions - Fair Usage policy , #18.

18. Using the BlackBerry device to provide Internet access for another device which is otherwise unconnected, using the BlackBerry device as a modem (known as tethering) or using the SIM card on non-BlackBerry devices will subject the user to be charged based on Pay-As-You-Use rate of 10sen per 10kb.

Excerpted from : http://www.digi.com.my/whatshot/promotions/blackberry/tnc.do

So , let's summarise again for the DG Smart RM58 unlimited plan.
- You will be charged in a pay-per-use manner for tethering
- You will be charged in a pay-per-use manner for using WAP on any other phones besides your registered blackberry (note it goes by the IMEI and PIN).
- WAP and BIS data usage using your registered blackberry (exclude tethering) , is unlimited. This is confirmed with a DiGi cust service agent.

Regarding the unbilled amount screenshot provided by Ramuk in post #160, i am facing the same situation as well. I do no tether, and i only use BIS and WAP on the registered berry. This is my first month, i haven't got to my billing cycle yet, so i cannot confirm if such charges would be finally billed at all, but my feeling is that i won't be billed for what should've been unlimited data, even though the unbilled amount screen lists them out.

Bear in mind that the screen you were looking at was "Unbilled Amount" screen. Such items could be waived at the monthly bill that you receive. We can always confirm this 'theory' when the monthly bill is issued or via a cust service agent.

so far... wat i understand now is that :-
if i want to buy the BB from DG and i am an existing customer, the price for the BB will be as per below...

DG50
12 months contract = RM 899
24 months contract = RM 799

DG150
12 months contract = RM 799
24 months contract = RM 599
==
upon getting the BB alre...
the DG BB plan would be RM 58/month
but...
if usage of voice calls/sms/mms reaches RM200 and above, the fee of RM58 will be waived.
if usage of voice calls/sms/mms reaches in between RM 100 to RM 199.99, i will get 25% off from the RM58.

i think a lot of people is confused about the contract part. the contract is only applicable for people who wants to buy the BB from DG. as for existing BB customer and want to get DG BB plan, den the RM58 is not bounded by any contract or wat-so-ever...

this only applicable for main line. not supp line. however, i've checked with Subang Parade's DSS. they advised that under one person's name, u can have 2 primary line.

am i correct as per above? if yes, den im getting the gemini soon. just need to wait for my main line to put my number to main line as well. =.=

good summary nod.gif

some adjustment, its total usage of RM100 (BB RM58 and Call/SMS/MMS RM42) - discount 25% = about RM75 smile.gif

28. Can I get discounts on the BlackBerry Unlimited Package?
You can enjoy a 25% discount when you have a minimum total usage of RM100 (of which RM42 is for voice calls) monthly. You can enjoy BlackBerry Unlimited for free with total usage of RM200 monthly (of which RM142 is voice calls).

Wah, dang.. one by one showed up.. anyway, we (my wife and I) subscribe to DG FnF (can't remember the exact plan, receipt left at home), with 1 main line and 1 sub line.. and both line will be added unlimited BIS the day after we've made voice calls.. because we insist of getting both of our phone BIS enabled in the same time Free calls sms etc just like our 1+5 Celcom..

At first they say cannot, then they say all OK!  biggrin.gif

Then we say all OK too!  whistling.gif

We did this all at Digi Centre at 1Utama..  icon_rolleyes.gif

Hmmm..The DiGI BB plans looks better than Maxis. Dont know whether or not i should switch to DiGi now..Or will Maxis also reduce their BB plan prices soon? i have primary line(RM50 Plan) and supplementary line(RM30 Plan) under Maxis which both also using BIS(RM40 - Entry BIS package each). So total RM160 per month...

hhhhhmmmm
