Previously using Celcom BIS, this month down two time, immediately went to DSS store at 4pm to subscribe DG BIS, at 9pm the service activated. Impressive speed compare to Celcom BIS (like turtle speed + time out).

so, does that mean Blackberry data usage = unlimited

if not Blackberry data usage = charge?

lol, confused now.. wink.gif

so, when we have unlimited BB plan, can i say we dont actually need to use WIFI ? (for emails, IM, browsing, etc) ?
*
Yes, you have to use BB to get unlimited data.

Based on what is published and made available to public by the telco, you've got most of your facts wrong.

Under Terms and Conditions - Fair Usage policy , #18.

18. Using the BlackBerry device to provide Internet access for another device which is otherwise unconnected, using the BlackBerry device as a modem (known as tethering) or using the SIM card on non-BlackBerry devices will subject the user to be charged based on Pay-As-You-Use rate of 10sen per 10kb.

Excerpted from : http://www.digi.com.my/whatshot/promotions/blackberry/tnc.do

So , let's summarise again for the DG Smart RM58 unlimited plan.
- You will be charged in a pay-per-use manner for tethering
- You will be charged in a pay-per-use manner for using WAP on any other phones besides your registered blackberry (note it goes by the IMEI and PIN).
- WAP and BIS data usage using your registered blackberry (exclude tethering) , is unlimited. This is confirmed with a DiGi cust service agent.

Regarding the unbilled amount screenshot provided by Ramuk in post #160, i am facing the same situation as well. I do no tether, and i only use BIS and WAP on the registered berry. This is my first month, i haven't got to my billing cycle yet, so i cannot confirm if such charges would be finally billed at all, but my feeling is that i won't be billed for what should've been unlimited data, even though the unbilled amount screen lists them out.

Bear in mind that the screen you were looking at was "Unbilled Amount" screen. Such items could be waived at the monthly bill that you receive. We can always confirm this 'theory' when the monthly bill is issued or via a cust service agent.

good point, which means tethering is not free for digi smart plan.

Not, you won't be charged. Only when you do tethering with computer or dial "diginet" you will be charged.

digi BB is good and fast loading. Don't go for celcom...just changed mine to digi because of terrible downtime on BIS and slow surfing (most of the time is request timedout).

MNP should be completed in 1-2days time. your maxis will failed and you just need to swap in the new sim card by digi.

On the connecting your blackberry to your laptop as a modem, I suggest u counter-check with Digi. I remember talking to Digi and they told me that I would be charge PAYU (Pay As You Use) for doing that. The reason being I would be off the Blackberry server and on the Diginet server where there would be charges for Blackberry users. Please confirm with Digi whether I am right.
*
You are right. Tethering as modem using digi is charge PAYu.
