Guys, consumer products and retailers exists to make money. Football clubs also have a commercial interest, hence the need to win trophies for cash, and also to attract more global fan support.

We're talking about the national team here. Its different. There are no commercial interest, no profits whatsoever (politicians etc lain cerita la), hence that is why the argument exists that we as citizens of this country, must lend our support to the Malaysian team.

how often could you see a local game live on TV.. Only TV 1 n 2 showing it sometimes. Be honest, who the hell watched TV1 n 2 nowadays? Even on papers sports sections the main page is anything but local football.

it FAM fault for not doing a good job promoting the league. they should works harder to look for good sponsors. the quality went down when they pulled dunhill out from the sponsors.. the salary probs in most of the football team doesn't help either.

we have plenty of good players.. no doubt. only the management sucks IMHO. change the FAM then slowly rebuild it back.

People have been calling for FAM management to quit for so long, but they just dig their heels deeper and refuse to budge, then after a while with all the corruption, racism and incompetence in local football, most people just don't bother anymore.

No, it has gone downhill since mid-90's after all the corruptions were revealed. Not only that, the mentality of our 'boys' are too shallow. Rather to play in the so-called "super league" rather than to make a name in Bundesliga(Div 2 tho).

i think you are over the top by bringing the colonial powers and parameswara into football matters. the "idiots" as you called them acted like that because they were exposed to BPL way too much while there's nothing to cheer about local football. it's nothing to do with backbone.. etc etc.. well maybe lacking patriotism spirit but.. chill dude

like i said, improved the quality of our league and better marketing it will be alive again like it once did in the past.

IMO, they didnt fight for it hard enuf since they're already sort like 'national heroes' during that time..
