What firmware did you used to create the ipsw? I successfully created the custom firmware with 3.1.3.

Only failed to restore to it.

it wont work for the new batch of iphones with new bootroms.
onli work for the old bootroms

yup.. for the snowbreeze only work in old bootroom.. like 3g, 2g, old bootroom 3gs

I recently tried jailbreaking with Redsnow 0.9.4, it managed to get me until the part where it says

"Done! The rest of it will be perform by the device itself.... etc" so this means my phone is supposed to reboot by itself right?

Well after clicking "finish", it didn't reboot but it was still on the black screen.
So I held on to the power/sleep button to reboot it manually and ended up with the Recovery screen with the usb pointing towards itunes.

So I kicked in Blackra1n RC3 and I get the message saying that "Your jailbreak has been completed. Enjoy....etc".

However, I did not see Geohot's image on my phone and it ended up again with the black screen instead.

Attempt failed I guess. Restored back to official firmware 3.1.3.

Just want to ask, what's with the message I get saying that my jailbreak has been completed?
Am I getting somewhere?

trust me... its not going anywhere for now.... maybe Blackra1n or s0nwbreeze manage to inject the JB inside the phone but the new bootrom is somehow preventing it from happen....(sorry for the lousy terminology lol!)

i got a problem here..all app i downloaded in itunes suddenly lost..when i sync my phone it delete all my apps installed...wtf its happen like dis?where can i find it back?do i need to redownload all of them?

Just now i run redsnow 0.9.2, after done the pineapple thingy. and my iphone wont work! all the button, screen, everything!
What should I do now?

No prob bro I understand what you're saying. Yah that's what I thought too that blackra1n manage to inject JB inside but somehow something is preventing it from happening.

After I saw the blackra1n message pop up saying my jailbreak has been successful, I was kinda happy but my phone never reboot by itself.

Sad case for me.


3.2 firmware? Or 3.1.2?

Have you tried going into recovery mode/DFU mode?
