Guys I have a quick question, If I would like to restore my Iphone to Factory settings using Itunes, Would i need to change back to my original Maxis Logo or could i just restore it back without doing so. The reason why I am asking this is cause my phone is Infected with the Rick Astley virus. Was thinking of restoring it with Itunes and rejailbreaking it tonight. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah my cousin just told me about it yesterday and I did post up yesterday that I was affected by the IKEE (rick rolled) virus. A full restore did the trick (was aching to do a restore as well ). But this new virus, I wish iohones have an Antivirus. I was working In f-secure before and they said they are working on an Iphone antivirus software. Hopefully soon

Ok, first of all. I am sorry to all especially mods. I`ll try not to happen again. 

Now, I managed to unlock my phone back to normal using redsn0w & FW 3.1.2. (Thanks for you help  )

But got new problem, I have around 59 apps n itunes but it just can sync with around 5 apps (thats common, maybe becoz of incompatibility, i know)...

But every time I sync all apps (59apps) it will install all 59 apps which takes around 20mins, but in the end there is a popup msg said that the all 54 apps is not compatible n not installed inside iphone. So in my phone, there is just a few apps which managed to installed BUT in my iTunes, under Applications tab, it show the screen of my iphone with ALL APPS.....how is that possible??

just buy my iphone yesterday and jailbreaked but everytime i restart or turn on iphone it require me to connect to itunes and i cant boot into my phone. how to slove?

there is still no solution for 5.12?

Ohh, aiyo sad case. Did a mistake and upgraded it to FW 3.1.3 cuz during my JB in 3.1.2, I was installing some applications form Cydia then when need to refresh springboard, it just hanged there.

After 30 mins still the same. Restart with sleep/power button also can't work so got no choice but to force quit with home + power button.

Then after force quit straight can't start phone anymore. Keep getting stuck at "connect to itunes" screen. Jailbreak with blackra1n also stuck at geohot picture.

No choice but to restore to FW 3.1.3

The stuff you mentioned in your post especially the custom IPSW can be applicable to me?

I tried to use the custom firmware 3.1.3 and restore through itunes. The file can extract and everything but I kept getting error 1604 at one point then the installation canceled.

Any help? Did I miss out anything? 

I used the custom firmware 3.1.3 by pwnagetool and get error 1604 and error 1600.

I can't downgrade. Apple doesn't sign firmware below 3.1.3 anymore. Each time I click restore to 3.1.2 I get the "not eligible for build etc...".

Yah did that already and I'm currently running on a FW 3.1.3. The problem I'm having now is that I want to jailbreak this 3.1.3

I recently tried jailbreaking with Redsnow 0.9.4, it managed to get me until the part where it says

"Done! The rest of it will be perform by the device itself.... etc" so this means my phone is supposed to reboot by itself right?

Well after clicking "finish", it didn't reboot but it was still on the black screen.
So I held on to the power/sleep button to reboot it manually and ended up with the Recovery screen with the usb pointing towards itunes.

So I kicked in Blackra1n RC3 and I get the message saying that "Your jailbreak has been completed. Enjoy....etc".

However, I did not see Geohot's image on my phone and it ended up again with the black screen instead.

Attempt failed I guess. Restored back to official firmware 3.1.3.

Just want to ask, what's with the message I get saying that my jailbreak has been completed?
Am I getting somewhere?

any chance to downgrade or JB old bootroom 3.1.3?

I am wondering, my model = MB but my serial is 50.. not sure mine is new bootrom or old bootrom

basically, if iphone is locked. what can it function as?
1. wifi?
2. surfing?
3. music?
4. etc..

anyway. i got it for rm650. it's not really expensive ipod touch at all. am not ready to unlock it because i guess it's new bootrom. 3gs 16gb (usa set).

i have a 2g iphone v 2. ++. One day, the line get cut off and display ' No service'.

So, i decide upgrade v 3.1.2 - after a few minutes.. everything is ok and suddenly..the line cut off again and the same problem - carrier become  'No service'

I have  restore back to v 3.0 ( using quick pawn ) and i try using black rain but still cannot resolve it.

Right now my phone cannot detect any carrier / sim ( currently 4.0 )

is a sw or hd problem?

or my jailbreak method is wrong..

don't know what to do!!

can use wireless function after u jailbrake,use redsnow to jailbrake,if your iphone 3.1.3 firmware with 5.08 bootloader u can unlock if 5.09 bootloader u must wait until DEV-Team release the unlock

Can anbody help me. I need to jailbreak my phone. I tried blackrain and nothing happen. Currently am using 3.1.3 firmware and the blackrain only support 3.1.2. My phone is 3g. I have dloaded the 3.1.2 firmware.. Can i downgrade it via itunes by doing restore? Pls advice.
