You just jailbreak it without any problems. No need to run blackrain even after restart. Should be just that. Easy enjoy cydia. Unlike mine, refer to the 1st post of page 34.

mine is different
i got the phone from maxis

version 3.1 (7C144)
Model MC 131MY
Modem firmware 05.11.07

i cannot upgrade it 3.1.2 coz the latest on itunes is 3.1.3. if i update.. its becomes 3.1.3
so far i went thru more than 10 pages of the thread but found nothing similiar to mine.

how do i jailbreak my iphone in this case...

just download 3.1.2 from the 1st page, and follow the instruction provided at 1st page as well..

well err it shows some illega sim card inserted blah blah... now i'm in big trouble..! i was trying to install a free game into my sis iphone so my niece can play when she's free... n i got this i need to update the software hence all this shit happen... i guees her iphone isn't unlock or something... i'm new to itunes n iphone... do i need jailbreaking..? how should i be able to unlock it again coz she was using it for more than a year without problem (sis ain't very IT educated so she never connected her iphone to PC actually)

In itunes, use..
(1) For Mac - Click Option+Restore
(2) For PC - Click Shift-Restore

u first hv 2 make sure u hv the shsh file on saurik's server..u'll noe tat if u hv cydia n u hv selected the make my life easier option b4...
then u hv to edit the host file and add a line which allows itunes to talk to saurik's server instead of apple..
only then u may jump frm 3.1 to 312

whats a shsh file or saurik's serve. my phone is new.. hasnt been jailbroken yet.. lolz

Whats the Serial number (see the 3rd, 4th 5th digit - is it >940?)? If it is its most likely New Bootrom.
