After upgraded to 3.1.2, it only took 2 minutes to "Blackra1n" my 3GS. However, it took a longer time to download the Cydia (due to speed of my WiFi). However, within 45 minutes, I have Jailbroken my 3GS with 3.1.2 and Cydia installed. Check this link to Enable Tethering --> http://www.iphoneheat.com/2009/10/how-to-e...phone-os-3-1-2/MyWi is a paid app BUT if you read the last statement --> "MyWi is a paid App. You can keep it by paying $9.99. or There’s a trick that SSH into your iPhone and delete Rock and MyWi from applications folder. If not mistaken blackra1n works on 3.1.2 only.
So, you must first upgrade to 3.1.2, then, run the blackra1n...

Funny... how many people "accidently" upgrade their iPhone but later checked the Forum if there is any downgrade steps..
