I'm currently in Sarawak and i tested the map.. not very updated and i even tested with my usual route to work.. it gave me a longer one.. quite disappointed.. but not sure with peninsular..

Well, I guess it's safe to say Peninsular mappers are more active or more in numbers. Have your say by becoming a mappers in your own area and submit to MfM site.

Get yourself a Garmin and don't waste any money on iPhone GPS apps. It is slow to acquire a satellite and recalculating. The worse part is, none of the apps has a good Malaysia map.

Now, if the malsing guys put up an iPhone GPS apps with their maps, I will buy it.

Just bought PapaGo M6 Singapore + Malaysia edition. Very good updated map from malfreemaps. I tried it in Penang and Kedah recently and all the POIs are spot on, even the speed camera locations. GPS lock is quick and hassle-free. Oh, getting an in-car charger is mandatory. It drains power really fast. Overall, well worth it.

I'm using a silicon case but never had any problem at all. At most 10 seconds to lock

Not really. Mine works fine even in a building. And this is a 3-storey building I'm talking mind you. A-GPS will come in handy

Nobody comparing an apple (obviously!) to an orange for god sake. But this word of yours is from someone who have bought Papago or just your mere assumption? yawn.gif

If you have bought it, then how much better is msm compared to mfm?

Cool ! azim61,

i bought the papago M6 pro and use it without any issue at penang.

But couldnt find any 3D building at all althought i set the view to 3D.

my maps date is 100203 means 03 Feb 2010. and i saw MFM android X5 latest maps is 100304. Izzit once updated the latest maps , i will get the 3D building view and the junction view?

BTW,
for SSH transfer, should i rename those 3 files 1st then only replace the file in iphone or replace all file 1st(except MapAnilPOI.psu and R51_prp.kuf ) then only rename?)

Thanks
Danny

the 3D building and junction view depends on the map creators. in kl/pj there's quite a few junction view and 3d building view. so we just have to wait for MFM and see how much of these they put into the map.

as to your question on whether to rename before replacing or rename after transferring. both ways will work fine. the ultimate goal is to have the correct file name.
