QUOTE(Dannyoski @ Mar 10 2010, 03:31 PM) Cool ! azim61, i bought the papago M6 pro and use it without any issue at penang. But couldnt find any 3D building at all althought i set the view to 3D. my maps date is 100203 means 03 Feb 2010. and i saw MFM android X5 latest maps is 100304. Izzit once updated the latest maps , i will get the 3D building view and the junction view? BTW, for SSH transfer, should i rename those 3 files 1st then only replace the file in iphone or replace all file 1st(except MapAnilPOI.psu and R51_prp.kuf ) then only rename?) Thanks Danny I believe most of the 3D buildings are in Klang Valley area. And I'm bot sure whether MfM provide 3D building as well. So it's up to Maction themself to provide the 3D building. Btw I think the feature is mainly for fanfare since it does not really help in navigation like JV function. All of the 3D building are famous landmarks so there's not really of much help

Thanks Danny congratz update to latest map bro for me i usually rename those 3 files first QUOTE(red-queen @ Mar 10 2010, 04:53 PM) you don't like the ssh way that i share? the 3D building and junction view depends on the map creators. in kl/pj there's quite a few junction view and 3d building view. so we just have to wait for MFM and see how much of these they put into the map. as to your question on whether to rename before replacing or rename after transferring. both ways will work fine. the ultimate goal is to have the correct file name. aik no la bro it just me that i like .ipa style better it depends

Even other gps phone with other software as well. Though I do notice, iphone GPS is more frequent in such problem. That being said, it happens only for a second or two but that will resume back on routing and I have never ever need to restart the app This post has been edited by mmmbop: Mar 15 2010, 08:54 AM

QUOTE(azim61 @ Mar 8 2010, 10:40 PM) if u want to use the SSH style use this (only JB iphone)» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « And heres the steps, and remember guys, "PLEASE BUY THE ORIGINAL SOFTWARE" support the developer and get the free update in future.
1. Of cource, buy Papago SGMY from itunes and install into your iphone (it might take sometime to download, 100++MB) 2. Download Papago Android X5 map (please dont ask me where to download) 3. Extract it, you will be able to see 28 files in total. 4. SSH your iphone (please google yourself to find out how to SSH into your iphone, I am using WinSCP, but you need wifi connection) 5. go to /private/var/mobile/Applications/2B46D4F5-1A4D-457D-B5F4-AFF39624AA43/PPG!SGMYPRO.app/Navi/Maps/MFM (if you cant find the C3C25xxx folder, try open the rest one by one, im not sure whether the folder name will be the same or not) 6. Replace the Android X5 map with the files inside the folder, EXCEPT MapAniPOI.psu (I think this is the file where make the icon gone all wrong) & R51_prp.kuf (if you replace this file, you will NOT able to see the "??"), and remember, please change the Octal permission to 0755 for each file you replace (26 files). 7. Unplug your iphone sync cable, give your iphone a kiss, say thanks to malfreemaps & me

My dear friend, even with a 3GS and the latest firmware, PAPAGO is still very leggy and having all the same problems that you're having. My advice to all of you, if you need a GPS that really works as one, get a Garmin. Else, just use it as a value-added apps to your phone or to show it off to your friends. The only good things about PAPAGO is its POI, the price and the ability to do street's name search. It can never replace a real GPS device.

True enough, the GPS in iphone can't be used for long as when it gets hot, iphone will automatically stop charging in order to cool down, so a piece of advice to papago users, always ensure yr iphone is fully charged and only start using when u really need it.
A stand alone Garmin device is of coz anytime more reliable like what kc3832 said. But the papago is good to have for short distances and not bad as a back up in the event of emergencies.
