I am already using the US version but hacked with the MY/SG map for months before this came out. Not sure about this particular version. Yes the file size does sound scary, and I dunno what they mean by free lifetime map. But it sure looks promising. I prefer this interface rather than PAPAGO. TS pls update this poll, coz Garmin is gonna get a lot of users here now

Added on May 27, 2012, 1:37 ami've been using papago m6 lite since 2010. till today, there's no map update. feels like being cheated by maction. i hope the garmin map will be updated as mentioned. it'll be better if it's mfm (some says msm better in sabah & sarawak).

Based on my experience with Nokia Maps, the downloaded file size is always much bigger than the final actual installed file size. So if it says the download is 100MB, the final installed size would be say.....70MB.

if i download the garmin apps in my ipad 2 , will this app available as well free for iphone ? and i just purchase sygic using ipad app store n the app is provided as free for iphone as well. how bout garmin? i dont want to purchase the same app later.

Yeap. Can still used on iPhone but certain apps are developed mainly for iPhone hence if use on iPad, the graphic will not be that nice

ok the reason i want to download Garmin is because i have difficulty using Sygic apps to locate a simple landmark such as Paradigm Mall . In sygic, it doesn't even show kelana jaya . So how can i go to Paradigm Mall using gps ? another landmark is Subang Parade and Sygic doesn't have that landmark in it's POI . so i was dissapointed a bit with Sygic. May i know if anyone who own Garmin able to confirm whether these 2 landmark is available in Garmin otherwise i just stick back with Sygic app and save the money for another day.

I suffered the same POI issue as you. I used Garmin USA before and change the map to MFM. Yes, I can search for the POIs. Not sure about Garmin SG/MY, haven't use it yet.

I can find subang parade but can not find paradigm mall using garmin. Still I think garmin far better than sygic.. Yes.. I also bought sygic... Very disappointing! If you want better map buy Papago.but garmin has better ui and more smooth

hey thanks acoms, i think i go ahead with garmin since they have good deal now. it was a mistake to buy sygic but many people gave good review so i downloaded it . I wonder if user can add POI into their own apps and share it out in Sygic ?

for me garmin has d most complete poi data.. compare to papago.. i dont know bout sygic

i'm tempting to buy the garmin gps software as well, it's the only gps software that i trusted

well im using papago m8 now.. its still reliable enuff.. the only things im not happy with it is lack of POI
