Which one is the EASY one to use???

pls recommend me any gps app that wont suck ur battery juice so fast...

From my experience, Waze uses very minimal data. On my recent trip back to hometown, I turned on Waze all through the trip to check whether there is any traffic jam in the highways. By the end of the trip (about 1.5 hours), I used barely 5 MB of data. If you can afford 5 MB of data, Waze is a great tool to use!! 

I also recently installed Garmin Streetpilot, the US version. This is the "map-on-board" version. You can actually download the Malaysia map into it using iExplorer or other file viewer. I prefer the Garmin map compared to the Papago version. So in this poll, I'll vote for "Other - Garmin Streetpilot"

Yes, very similar indeed. I used to have a Nokia 5800 XM, so I can compare between the two. Initially when I bought my iPhone, I was very reluctant because the best thing about the Nokia 5800 was the Garmin MobileXT. At that time, there was no GPS that was comparable to it on the iOS platform. Now that I found out about this, I finally feel my migration to iOS is justified. Please share and distribute the news! 

Follow the steps shared above (or several previous posts in this thread). You need to set the file permission inside iPhone also.
I have no problem using it and navigation.
However, now searching which folder to put those Custom POI in iPhone. 

My latest folder is as you mention. So far I'm testing, no alert yet on those pasar malam, road block, speed reminder, ...

I put both GMXT (no sound) and MP3 POI inside that folder.

Papago M6 lite or Sygic

Garmin MY/SG has just been released! using malsing maps as indicated in the description. Priced reasonable but its a huge file download, a whopping 1.24GB!

Anyone using it already? Can review?

Can't find it at US itunes store. Could this released to MY/SG itunes store only?

if i download the garmin apps in my ipad 2 , will this app available as well free for iphone ? and i just purchase sygic using ipad app store n the app is provided as free for iphone as well. how bout garmin? i dont want to purchase the same app later.

ok the reason i want to download Garmin is because i have difficulty using Sygic apps to locate a simple landmark such as Paradigm Mall . In sygic, it doesn't even show kelana jaya . So how can i go to Paradigm Mall using gps ? another landmark is Subang Parade and Sygic doesn't have that landmark in it's POI . so i was dissapointed a bit with Sygic. May i know if anyone who own Garmin able to confirm whether these 2 landmark is available in Garmin otherwise i just stick back with Sygic app and save the money for another day.

I bought the garmin app using US account but not directly search in itunes

My method:
1. Log in US account in itunes.
2. Google for "garmin sg/my itunes" in web browser to bring up the link that leads you to the garmin app web page that is similiar in itunes. Alternative, use this URL : http://itunes.apple.com/my/app/garmin-sg-my/id504487726?mt=8
3. Click "View in itunes" and the browser will prompt you to open in itunes if you have itunes installed.
4. Make sure you check that you are in your US account.
5. Purchase the app and profit

I did this a few days ago.

EDIT: Before I forget, I bought it with promo price $19.99.
