I know I need to purchase the app. I mean every single time I use I need pay for data?
*
well i think you dont need to use data....since gps only uses satellite..if there are option to activate data try off that....such as in sygic when enter there is a option use the data..maybe you try purchasing it the put your phone on airplane mode the use the gps... icon_idea.gif

Yes, it gets very hot... so get a car kit holder and hang it on the A/C vent!

Hi I was wondering does papago allow you to set the location which you want to go by using coordinates? Because I plan to get it and use it to get to Cheras Pasar Malam which I never been there before. But I do have the coordinates.

finally i install the MY&SG version. in terms of coverage really rocks! especially when manual update the map. totally blew Tomtom. but the interface not as smooth as Tomtom. the transitions abit lag compare to tomtom. hope they gonna improvise it to make it more smooth, better UI.

Nope... not in this version. But you can just tap at the map to select the location you navigate to, or just search by POI or road name.

I believe this is the best bargain.

Nowhere it can drop to 9.99 as the taiwanese version as malaysian papago has a Lite version.

So, better grab it while you can

thanks for the info bro..smile.gif
saw ur post n din wait any longer to get it..
downloading now and wud try out later today or tomolo..smile.gif

I managed to sync my phone before I left my office, hence got to try the Papago or ppg as they call it..tongue.gif

I could just use the app for a short while..but for what it's worth, ppg does cover a whole lot more than my sygic... nod.gif
user posted imageuser posted image

both the SS are taken at the same location..sygic assumes im standing in the middle of nowhere as compared to ppg who knows exactly whr i am..
u mite wonder y sygic is showing blank.. well tat is coz currently i am in my hometown and its a small town which sygic's/tomtom's map provider cant update every now n then as they are based outside of the country.. ppg on the other hand uses mfm, which is updated n maintained well by our fellow malaysian..biggrin.gif
this kinda problem shud nt affect users in big cities (Kl, SG) as they are updated regularly..
but what abt POIs? i cant get POIs for kl rite now, but below is the situation here..i searched for POIs nearby my loaction:
user posted imageuser posted imageuser posted imageuser posted imageuser posted imageuser posted image

here, for ppg, all the POIs nearby are listed on one page..cud be a good thing maybe..
sygic puts them in categories and ask u to find wats nearby..

frm the ss above u can also see the difference between both the gui..

in a nutshell...
map coverage- Papago has the edge because of the regularly updated MFM
POIs- again same as above.
GUI- sygic is surely miles ahead of ppg..

i'll get to use it more and add more input as n when i can..smile.gif
hope this helps icon_rolleyes.gif
